The tea towels are of good weight and absorb water and liquids well. They have washed really well at 40 degrees (first wash) and 60 degrees (2nd wash) with neither loss nor transfer of colour, remaining quite soft at the same time. I use them for my newborn to wind him and they really protect our clothes being really absorbent while at the same time being soft enough for the baby and keep firm enough so the baby feels secure on our shoulder neither sliding off nor being entangled in endless folds of swaddles.I have also used some of the towels in the kitchen and they perform wonderfully as advertised. No lint remains either on baby or on glassware. I will update my review after checking how well they will wash at 90 degrees in the next wash cycle. I always put herringbone kitchen towels at 90 degrees for sterilization purposes. It is good practice in the kitchen where food preparation takes place. It is also good practice for baby related clothing.Caring advice for all your 100% cotton clothes (towels, bed linen, table linen, underwear, tshirts etc) :you can wash at higher temperatures to really get rid of bacteria and have crispy clean clothes as long as you gradually put new cotton clothes / linen at higher-temperature wash cycles. Start at 40 degrees and progressively raise the temperature with each new cycle. This will allow the cotton fibers in the cloth to adapt and retain their strength and shape despite the higher temperatures. Use minimal fabric softener in order to offer the fabric some regenerative conditioning while retaining full absorption power. The more fabric conditioner the less your towels will perform well in absorbing water which is why minimal fabric softener is the key.The coloured stripe is actually a tri-coloured one: dark violet, blue and light violet which coordinate nicely together and show a good looking towel of good quality.If you have found my review useful please vote in favor.

My first impressions of these towels was very positive. They are much larger than most store-bought towels and feel tightly woven, with well finished seams on all 4 sides. There is also a cotton hanging loop in the corner, which is sewn into the towel.After the first wash these towels dried very quickly on a screen overnight and were dry ironed to ensure they were bone-dry before storage. I would recommend cutting off the care labels prior to ironing, as they are synthetic and melt very quickly (also took off a few loose threads) but after this small annoyance I soon had a stack of pristine crisp linens ready for use.The towels dry washed dishes and glasses admirably, leaving them streak free and gleaming without any of horrible fluffy lint or fibres. With a dozen I can keep fresh towels in constant rotation without worrying about running out.I have previously tried the ruinously expensive microfibre tea towels from a well known homewares shop and these Harrison's towels absolutely blow them out of the water, there is no comparison, and no more worries about tea towels melting if a lazy partner decides to use one to fetch a hot dish from the oven.Finally, the company's customer service seems very good, with detailed dispatch and email aftercare. Highly recommended.

These were pricier than other tea towels I've bought online but they are also the best.They're soft and absorbent & wash beautifully despite the fact that I wash them at the hottest temperature my machine can do which is 90° (in contravention of the instructions). The colours haven't run. I haven't detected any significant shrinkage, though I didn't measure before & after, they are still bigger than any of my old tea towels. They remain rectangular after washing, ie the hems don't pucker up, needing to be stretched out back into shape or flattened out because they've rolled themselves up (my pet hate).They dry the dishes extremely well without leaving lint behind. Once wet, they dry out far quicker than terry toweling ones but a bit slower than the thinner ones I've bought in the past.Oh, and they look great too, I bought the green ones and really like them. I'd have no hesitation in buying them again.

These have to be the best quality and value tea towels EVER.Not realising they would be arriving yesterday (and havingjust re organised cupboards and must have everything JUST so)I had been and bought some more new ones locally.The ones I bought were nice but these extra large ones areAbsolutely superb.The fabric is luxurious and I feel will be super absorbent.Size wise: whilst I have bought some oven cloths (like I used toUse as a caterer) I feel these would also be useful as oven clothsFolded four times. They are really lovely.I know! I'm getting excited over tea towels but they are reallynice.Value for money: considering I paid £4 locally for three, whichincluded one dreadful waffle type. These really are great value.I've not washed any yet but as they are cotton linen, they feelthey will wash really well as well.Being the rather anal person I am , I will be buying more of these. 🤷‍♀️

Quality in a box. Fast delivery beautifully packed. Ok maybe not as crisp as I expected but then they also not stiff with starch. Decent size and wash well with the expected and acceptable minimal shrinkage. Nice bright white with nice detailing in the colour bands and an extremely handy tape loop to allow them to hang for better drying. They polished off a full blown family sunday lunch drying everything fully from start to finish without ending up soggy. Even had enough punch left to give an extra polish to the glassware! Going to order another set for holiday home, dont want to be without these now. 4* because although a very good towel for the price I have to be honest and admit they are a tad thinner than I would have liked, but they do the job for which intended so no complaints there.

Been looking to get tea towels for ages as all of the ones I've got have been hand me overs which are now thread bare and will be used as rags. Never really bought into the 'country kitchen' ones so once I'd read the reviews for these I decided to treat myself. Delivered the next day (love prime!!). Got them washed and on the line. I did them on a cool wash and think they did shrink a little. The card that came with it does say they would. They dried really quickly. They're a great quality and dry dishes really well and don't seem to get overly wet so absorb well. Good for covering food when cooling (cakes, lasagne to keep pesky flies off) Thicker than printed tea towels you buy in the shops and actually dry stuff rather than just push the water about . Actually love the fact they're plain but the coloured stripes add some interest. They have fabric loops sewn diagonally over one corner to hang them up but think they are bigger than your average tea towel so depends where your hooks are.Never thought I'd get excited about tea towels but I bloomin' love them!! Hoping that they don't stain and become 'used' looking but will probably bleach them if they do.Would definitely buy again although 12 should last a while.

Good quality and cheap enough to replace frequently

These towels are generous sized and came as a pack of 12 in vivid beautiful colours .Exceptional quality product which you can see in the fabric weave and thickness. I have been using mine to dry the dishes , keeping my freshly baked bread warm as well as covering a large spill in one go ! They can be washed and reused over and over again (Mine have still retained their original quality ). Manufacturer gives very helpful care advice and even has their own website where you can register for more tips .This seems a unique product which I haven’t really seen in retail shops so well done Harringdons you really deserve more than 5 stars ! Will be buying again and look forward to seeing your other product range.Highly recommended and great value for money!

These embroidery nicely even with dense stitching. They are absorbent. They do wrinkle but 100% cotton wrinkles get them out of the dryer quickly and they don't look bad.I do wish they made other solid colors like grey, sage, red, navy.

I purchased these towels because I've been using the same old "rags" for YEARS and finally decided I deserved something new. I loved the bright colors on the stripes (especially the teal/blue ones!) and was really excited to have towels without stains!! So this is what white towels are supposed to look like! Tossed them all in the washer immediately and when I pulled them out of the dryer to fold, I only had a couple that shrunk wonky making folding them into perfect little rectangles impossible. I don't really care though because they aren't gifts, they aren't for display... they are for drying wet dishes. My mom was over the other day, and while I was standing at the sink washing pots and pans and four metal cupcake tins, running out of room on the drying rack, I said "oh hey Mom, check this out!" and opened the drawer holding my brand new dish towels. She got so dang excited to see that I was no longer using left over Gerber flannel diapers and whatnot, that she jumped up off the counter stool and grabbed one to start drying my dishes!! So I'd say not only do they work amazing at absorbing the water, but they also excite the lazy people in my house enough to actually HELP WITH THE DISHES!! These towels are thick compared to others I've had over the years, and not quite as large as the ones my grandmother had when I was growing up, but the size doesn't bother me, they are plenty big to do the job. With just with one wash I can tell they will only get better and softer over time. I did however have to hold a family meeting about the proper use of my new white kitchen towels. Rule number one was, "Do not use my new white kitchen towels for wiping your nasty spaghetti or chocolate pudding faces." Followed by "My new white kitchen towels are not for wiping the coffee you spill on the counter each time you pour a cup." Then of course I couldn't leave out the "My new white kitchen towels are NOT for cleaning the pollen off your windshield in the morning." Overall, I think that they understood how special my new white kitchen towels are and will use them for their intended purpose. Thank you for a great product and hopefully these will last years... (I've hid half of them from my family though, because it's honestly a matter of time before someone is using one to wipe muddy dog feet. I forgot to add that one to the "rules".)

These are wonderful, large, old-fashioned tea towels like those my mother used to use. Nowadays most of the towels on the market are too small, too thin, and look good without doing the job. These towels are substantial. They wash well with very little shrinkage. So far, I've used them to dry dishes, but can see them as attractive covers for baked goods. Before buying the towels, I looked them up on review sites and found that they always came out on top of similar products. The reviews didn't lie. I doubt that I'll have to replace them any time in the future - they are of an exceptional and durable quality.

Great quality, tight weave and low lint! Beautiful colours, size is substantial! Worth the $$.

Let me set expectations. You need to choose up front how you will use these towels. Pick one: display, where they look nice and neat, or “pick up the mess”, hard working towels. I need to wipe counters and our glass top oven with no streaks and no lint. I’ll throw these on spills, I’ll pick up spilled food, squeeze almond milk, dry sink-washed spinach, dry wine glasses, and everything else you could imagine in the kitchen. If they look half way decent, bonus. I will beat up my kitchen towels with high heat washing, bleach and dryers. I need super clean towels because I use them near food.I had originally bought a pack of shop towels from a big box store, but they ended up being a blend of poly and cotton, so they had no absorbency, and left lint everywhere, they were cheap though, so I had a drawer full of them. They were not great, but did help reduce paper towels. But I was ready for an upgrade to completely stop using paper.I now have a drawer full of these, I use up to 6-8 a day. And these are great. Check my video for absorbency. You can get streak-free dry with just a few wipes. The cotton is a nice tight weave, I could tell out of the package that once they were washed, these would be absorbent. With that said, if you want absorbent, you will trade the nice neat look of these. If you want absorbency, you need to wash them with high temp water, use a pre-soak like borax and bleach or bleach alternative. You need to tighten up the weave and get rid of all the sizing that keeps the fabric soft and pliable. But of course that’s the trade, the cotton comes out of the dryer a bit more stiff, and wrinkly. If you want to clean up the kitchen, no worries, if you want to use them as table napkins, we’ll then you will be disappointed. See my picture with edge wrinkles, you can never really iron them out once they do that. I don’t care, I’m keeping the kitchen clean with these.They are versatile, absorbent, lint-free, they seem durable (haven’t had them long enough to see how the stitching holds, but again, that’s not an important thing for me), they will wrinkle, they will most likely fade with the high heat washes and dries. They probably shrank, but I don’t need them to be perfectly square or wrinkle free.
