I have been looking at these beautiful lamps for ages and when I saw this pink one; I had to have it! I didn't want a cheap one so this brand seemed perfect. Arrived in around 7 days. We'll packaged. I had to watch a YouTube video to fully understand who it all worked but then it was time for the magic. Firstly, I messed up the first wick by listening to others and using bioethanol instead of parrafin which was a big mistake as it just burned up the wick and I had to quickly purchase more and empty the lamp. I wish it came with at least 1 more wick! It's sturdy and well made as I utterly love it. I use it inside my camper and it's very bright and romantic looking. No leakage, functional for outside and in. Easy to use once you know how!

I bought a Chinese one before this one and the difference in quality is night and day. This is a great product that will withstand the test of time. The Germans know how to make things, plus eco friendly packaging.

What can you say about a product that has been around for well over a hundred years and is still made in Germany? It does the job and the colour range is extensive, although for some reason the prices differ according to the colour choice. The lantern will give off fumes when it is first used. It will need a few hours of burning to get rid of the odour, but after that it is as fume free as the oil will allow. It can be a bit fiddly to use but it is not a major issue.

Good quality and well built lamp but a little expensive

I'm a huge fan of this lantern. I'd wanted one for a while for camping and this one didn't disappoint. very cheap, I brought some oil and spare wicks at the same time. so far I've had it on for about 12 hours so felt happy to leave a review. it's a bit hard to get the glass cover back in place after you light the wick but you soon get the knack, the wick adjustment for the flame is very self explanatory and the oil lasts for ages. one thing is for obvious reasons keep it upright or the oil will leak out. the wick seems to be lasting very well, I think the description said about 20 hours which seems about right from what I can see, might be able to last a bit longer if your lucky. When the oil starts running low the flame becomes erratic so that's your sign to extinguish the wick and refill the oil. I got a black one, and it looks the business. The light it emits is very ambient. the body is strong but not invincible as obviously there's glass and moving parts so care must be taken. if you like oil lanterns, this might be for you.

Very pleased with my black lantern. Very good quality and beautiful - some of our friends have said they would buy it too. Have used it indoors & outdoors.

Does the job. Handles a bit wobbly. Can leak a bit if you fill it more than half full. Quality’s dropped in the last 100 years.. feels more ornamental than the ones we had as a kid….. they don’t make them like they used to.

Wonderful. I wonder how much it'll cost now, what with tariffs and all. But I hear Germany is collapsing, so sad. They should've concentrated on making products instead of being political. Long live the AFD!
