Can people share with me what sealers you used and if you would reccomend it? I'll be using the Ardex feather finish for counter tops. Thanks!

I used an impregnator sealant because I didn't want shiny countertops. It didn't work as well as we'd hoped. :( I asked someone on Instagram who also had concrete counters (that looked gorgeous) what she used: Trewax Stone & Tile Finish. I'll be doing another coat in the next year or so and plan to use that.

Is the the GRAY finish? Also, anyone try this over ceramic tile?

I had ceramic tile removed. Most of it popped out easily the areas that didn’t they cleaned off with a flat bladed electric jackhammer type thing. It was dusty. Cover everything! The stone tile job turned out beautifully.

The Amazon site says it covers 33.3 sq ft; the product info site says it covers 300 sq ft. What do you think is right?

33.3 sf at 1/8" is accurate per manufacturer. Skim coat will yield 100-300 sf, but that is a very thin coat. It depends on what you are doing, in other words, but Amazon's number is accurate. Incomplete, but accurate for that thickness. As for using it on a counter top -- I wouldn't, as it is not designed for wear surfaces. They make other, harder products that might work for that and still be less difficult than concrete. This is not the right product, in my opinion.

Is it fire resistant?

It does become brittle and starts peeling when exposed to high heat.
