Used it to fit idler arm bushings in a '54 Chevy 210. Worked fine. The lady that owns it has a better handling car now. With the bushings so close together I had to put the alignment cone on the bottom. It feels good to do these jobs requiring old time skills.

We set about to install a disk brake conversion on our daughter’s 1967 Bus. We found bad king pins and link pins. After searching all over the country for parts, we were ready to tackle this little project. Then came the realization that we’d need a reamer for the king pin bushings. Called all the same VW speciality shops and nobody had the correct size reamer. Contacted machine shops who volunteered to loan us a reamer, but weren’t interested in fooling with a 56yo spindle. (The bus king pins are larger than the more common beetle’s.). Searching Amazon we found this reamer and ordered it. It allowed us to keep the bushings aligned and micro increase the ID. Worked like a dream.

Nice tool delivered fast. The H7 I ordered odd the size for beetle king pin bushings, which is .710 inches.

The tool is very precise, works as intended, easy reaming of bushings axially centered. Shipment was very fast, less than 1 week across continents.

The minimum I could get this to adjust to was .700”, I used it for a VW king pin bushing which ended making the bushing a tad bit loose.

Nice tool, with nice storage box, but shipper 100% wrapped the box with heavy shipping tape, I had to destroy the box to get it out. Now I don't have anything to store the tool in.

Quality hone, centering cone holds the alignment well if you take shallow cuts each pass.

Delivery speed to Australia was very good. I used this reamer for my VW Beetle King Pin bushes. The bushes require reaming to approx 18mm, with this reamer I was able to take my time and gradually ream out the bushes to the perfect size. The bushes are made of brass so the cutter made light work of the job. The advantage of the reamer is the guide, this allows the reamer to run true through both bushes to ensure a perfect ream. The second job for the reamer was on a new set of spindles, these were made of high quality cast iron and required reaming for the king pin. I was unsure if this would work, but taking it slowly (small increments) and using plenty of lube it got the job done - no worries.
