FellowesProton A3 Frequent Use Rotary Trimmer

Had one for years. It died from exhaustion This seems to be the only sensible priced trimmer on the market for which you can buy replacement blades at an acceptable price. Many cost half the price of the machine, or simply are not readily available. Some improvements made but simply a neat, useable and sensibly priced trimmer which U use for both craft and office.

I rarely write reviews. It takes something very irritating or fantastic to be worthy of the time.Positives? there may have been something when I first purchased it, the yellow colour is quite pleasant and the box was used by my son to make a knights shield.But the "frequent use A3 rotary trimmer" is INFURIATING. Cuts badly, no chance of more than one page, incredibly awkward cutting action needed, using both hands and applying so much force it's ridiculous.I need to use it about twice a week and three other people have used it too at times - they have all resorted to scissors.I only carried on using it because I am annoyed that I own it and will now have to dispose of it and it will sit on a rubbish tip somewhere for however many centuries...... and then I go and get the scissors.My recommendation - absolutely don't bother.

Great trimmer for upto A3 paper/card. Blade could be a little sharper but overall i'm happy with it and it does the job!

Wanted a product for making cards.Using the trimmer and the blades enabled me to trim the card and score it for easy folding

I really like this product although I had not realised I needed to purchase the blades separately. The product did arrive with one set but there is room for 3 to be stored within the unit.

Hi, I have used an A4 "slicer" for years and years but it eventualy broke. I have ended up buying three (3) different ones to get the same quality as the one I have lost. This one is VERY hard to use. I need to slice paper along a printed line. This cutter cuts NOT on the slicer edge but in a GROOVE. I found it a waste of time trying to cut accurately. It is then near IMPOSSIBLE to "trim" any more off as it just creates a "kink" in the paper where you intended the cut to be. Not realy sure what use this cutter is any good for. Sorry, but it is no use to me...

Have tried to change blades to see if this makes any difference to the cutting, it doesn’t have bought blades for the other style of cuts, no better.Would not recommend this to anyone. Waste of money. Expected more from this manufacturer.

Hi I think the proton is a good rotary trimmer. It cuts the paper Just the way you want it to,but you have to press down hard on the rotary cutter to get good results. otherwise it's avery good cutter.
