Smart Digital Multimeter

Wow. I've been on a quest to find the most reliable, best bang form your buck, high quality auto range multimeter with a few functions that anyone wanting to get into the world of electronics. My requirements Autorange 4000 counts minimum for better precision Be able to measure dc voltage Be able to measure dc current less than 10A. Device should have manual mode as well. Be able to measure resistance in ohms Continuity test with lights or beep It can be dropped, it doesn't feel to bulky and needs to fit in my pocket with leads. Accuracy need to be withing +/- .05 volts and acceptable resistance of leads less than .5 ohm Tests will be performed against calibrated craftsman, everstart, lomvum, multimeters for accuracy. All of those multimeters i have and are being used for various diy projects. This unit is less than 10$ and is perfect for all those requirements and it just works. No fuss, no extra stuff, no features I don't need and the price is amazing. Still not sure it's 6000 counts like it says but I don't have a way to tesr this. It's ability for 4000 counts thought is awesome. Because it's a high count device it can take a moment for the auto range detection to flip to the right measurement so I personally prefer to manually switch to the thing I want to measure and the measure away.

This is an update after using the meter for 2 weeks. - A fantastic bargain, hard to believe, a well-designed meter. I bought two more. - Automaatic mode works great. It can detect resistance to 20 megohms. Over 20 megs, use the manual resistance selection. Automatic figures out what it is connected to, and displays voltage or current, AC or DC, and resistance. Neat. - I am using lithium batteries. They work great, and will NEVER leak and destroy a nice meter. They have an initial voltage of about 1.8 volts and will remain up for at least 10 years at idle. Negatives: - Resistance display is to 1 ohm, not to 0.1 ohms as stated in the instruction manual. - Does not have the usual diode test function that shows a diode's forward voltage. - Reading a diode in AUTOMATIC mode shows a different resistance in both directions. But select MANUAL ohms, and it shows conduction in only one direction (as expected). So when conneccting actoss a diode, always use MANUAL resistance mode so that it will read infinity in the reverse direction, and a resistance in the forward direction (when the RED lead is on the ANODE side). The resistance value shown has no meaning, but it serves to show the direction of the diode. - The 'DIODE' icon at the top of the display NEVER comes on (except momentarily during power-up). So what is it there for? Maybe it is for a future DIODE mode (that is not available in AUTOMATIC mode) ? - The 20-inch leads are a bit shorter than I like. If longer, they would not fit as easily in the box.

This is an easy to use meter that works fine. It has a voltage detector for checking 'hot' line voltages non-contact. Nice.

Simple to use! One review was critical of complicated directions, just skip over the technical stuff! A GREAT meter for only $10!

I can go from resistance (continuity check) to DC voltage check without doing anything but moving the probes (again, no innuendo). No need to select anything. After years with a click-click-click tester this is like, unbelievable.

I compared this Hanmatek meter to a Fluke 189 meter. Excellent accuracy even with a square wave. It really is a true rms reading meter. The DM20 is very well built , far better than I expected for the price. Operation is simple with the automatic selection mode. The only missing feature is a diode check. Test results: Input. Fluke. Hanmatek 5vdc. 5.031 5.05 30vdc. 29.992. 30.07 5vac 60Hz. 4.997. 5.021 Line voltage. 119.72. 120.6 5v rms sq wave 4.995 4.953 300 ohm. 294. 295 100K ohm. 98.6K. 98.5K

The instruction manual is so technical I can't understand how to use the meter. I have found a Utube video, but haven't had time to look at it yet so i hope it will use more nontechnical terms to explain what lead goes where for the different functions.

Genial como polímero de bolsillo. Uso profesionalmente a diario un medidor Fluke, alguna vez que se olvida cogerlo, no tengo con que trabajar y buscaba un polímero de bolsillo que pudiera guardar en la furgoneta en caso de apuro. Conozco medidores chinos que cuando los metes en un enchufe empieza a variar la medición y no sabes lo que mide o si está bien el aparato. Este te da una medición examen exacta y correcta, y es muy fácil de usar ya que tiene medicación automática, en resistencia continuidad funciona perfecto también. También puede funcionar como detector de tensión sin contacto, por la parte superior, lo he probado y funciona al acercarlo a enchufes y cajas de registro. Se puede iluminar la pantalla para ver medicaciones en lugares oscuros y tiene un pequeño led para iluminar la medición. Muy contento con las prestaciones y calidad

Ce multimètre est un excellent outil, que ce soit pour un usage domestique ou professionnel. Il est très précis et propose plusieurs modes de mesure utiles (tension, courant, résistance, etc.). L’écran est bien lisible, même en faible luminosité, et l’appareil est simple à utiliser grâce à ses boutons intuitifs. J’apprécie aussi son format compact, qui le rend facile à transporter. Il semble robuste et de bonne qualité. Pour le prix, c’est un très bon achat ! Je recommande.

Cheap and working. Limited functionality, but known from description. Thick plastic, expect it will withstand a knock or two. Leads adequate ish, would think twice putting 600v on that and buy another expensive dvm and hv gloves if ever I need that, unless I wanted some excitement. Tested voltage with a reference board and dc voltage and resistance are 0.2% and 0.3% away from the reference. The resistance ref is 0.5% so the dvm is well within the reference tolerance. It is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. So full stars.

SPEDIZIONE, IMBALLAGGIO E CONFEZIONE All’interno della confezione ho trovato un manuale in italiano, sonde con tappini, 3 pile AAA mini-stilo e ovviamente il multimetro avvolto in una busta trasparente. MATERIALI E REALIZZAZIONE Il multimetro è principalmente in plastica e gomma rigida. Presente una torcia nella parte superiore mentre sul retro vi è uno stand in plastica. Al di sotto dello stand è presente lo sportello con vite per l’inserimento delle 3 pile AAA mini-stilo. Il multimetro segnala in caso di batteria scarica. Dopo 5 minuti di inattività, il multimetro si spegne automaticamente. È dotato di cicalino e di led che indicano il caso in cui vi sia continuità. Questo multimetro ha l’autoselezione della scala in base alla misurazione che si sta effettuando. È dotato di rilevamento della tensione senza contatto NCV, riconosce automaticamente AC e DC, può essere usato sia in tensione CA e CC ed ha una protezione da sovraccarico 600 V CA / CC. Il fusibile di protezione supporta massimo 10 A. Lo schermo da 2.3 pollici è dotato di retroilluminazione. Le dimensioni sono di 7.1 x 4.5 x 14.5 cm per un peso di 220 g. ESPERIENZA D’USO L’impressione è subito quella di un prodotto economico, soprattutto per il peso. Tuttavia, proprio la sua leggerezza lo rende pratico ed i materiali non sono male, in particolare la gomma di rivestimento. Nel manuale in italiano, incluso in confezione, ci sono diversi dettagli specifici in merito al dispositivo, l’accuratezza, le protezioni ecc. Comodo lo stand basculante sul retro. Il display è decisamente ben visibile in ogni condizione grazie alla retroilluminazione. Ottimo lo spegnimento automatico per il risparmio energetico. Praticissimo il fatto che si alimenti a batterie AAA, addirittura già incluse in confezione. Ovviamente verranno rimpiazzate quanto prima con delle mini-stilo ricaricabili. Dato il costo non ho avuto molta preoccupazione ad usarlo: è un vero strumento da battaglia. Le sonde sembrano molto buone, con una discreta sezione. Il multimetro ha l’autoraging con switch abbastanza rapido: veramente pratico per misurazioni rapide. CONCLUSIONI Costa un po’ di più dei tester di bassissima fascia, ma ha la retroilluminazione, lo schermo è ben visibile e ha la funzione automatica di selezione della scala di misurazione, pratica e che fa risparmiare tempo. Rapporto qualità-prezzo molto buono.
