powerful - good battery life.
This little chainsaw is excellent. I have a full size chain saw and I wanted something to cut up smaller logs and this does the job perfectly- plus so much easier to use quickly to down size branches in store. The whole package is first class - case, two batteries, charger, goggles, gloves, spare chain, file, cleaning brush. You couldn't ask for more.Great to operate and easy to handle - cuts up to 15cm logs - battery lasts for one barrow load logs, swop to spare, recharge takes about 45 mins.I rarely review Amazon products - generally good - but this saw deserves full praise for such a reasonable price. Recommend 100%.

Great tool
This is a very useful tool to have. It takes all the manual work away and it's very versatile and able to cut its the full length of its blade in width although consumers the battery quicker when it's more heavy duty timber naturally enough. It comes with two batteries which is great. Takes about 30 mins for a full battery charge which lasts about 20 minutes when you have a number of pieces of branches about 2inches to 5 inches thick to get through. It's pretty quite and its far lighter than using a chain saw and no pulling or filling with oil/petrol mixes to start. One does need chain oil but it uses this very sparingly. It is a joy to use and very easy to maintain given it comes with its own little chain file for sharpening, and a little brush to keep inside the chain rotator mechanism clear. Yes I would like the batteries to last a little longer and I wonder how many charges will they be good for before they start losing the charge quicker and need replacing? Overall though a brilliant piece of kit that if you have a garden to maintain or a few logs to cut, this is a piece of kit you can't do with without as far lighter than using the chain saw and easier on your back to.

Nearly 5 Stars
This is a great little tool that packs a very heavy punch! Please read the instructions carefully and ensure that you follow them and apply common sense when using the saw. It is a powerful little beast and has all the characteristics of its big brother chainsaws. I have used it predominately to clear out three Laurel trees that were over 30 feet tall and approximately 20 feet wide. The average branch was about 5 inches in diameter and extended to approximately 20 feet. The end product filled 30 x tonne bags and required 10 runs to my local refuse centre to dispose of the waste. The saw was more than up to the job. It is easy to handle, light and powerful enough to ensure safe operating. The instructions advise on checking the tension in the chain regularly. This is an absolute must because the tension reduces after about 15 minutes of use. This also applies to the guard. The little tensioning screw is, in my opinion, not up to the job required. After about one hour of using the saw, and about 4-5 re-tensioning sessions, the tensioning screw began to slip its thread; this resulted in it being impossible to retention the chain properly. Therefore, rather than returning the item, I replaced the original screw and found that this remedied the problem. I would also recommend regularly removing the chain retaining guard to clean out any debris that may accumulate under it. I oiled the chain and its housing very lightly a couple of times via the chains channel when I exposed the 3 chain links as instructed when tensioning the chain. Talking of which, there is one chain fitted to the saw and another spare in the pack. As a part of the bundle, there is a lightweight, quite flimsy carrying bag which I do not expect to last long at all! The saw comes with two batteries. Both required charging for about two hours to bring them up to full charge. Having described the job that I used the saw for, the batteries lasted about 30 minutes on near constant use. They then took a little less time to recharge. The batteries are somewhat challenging to remove easily albeit the process is identical to similar cordless electrical tools; they are a bit tight in their housing. Now for a bit on safety: The chain does not immediately stop rotating when you take your hand off the trigger. It continues for about a second or two. The saw will 'kick back' similar to its older, much larger chainsaw brothers. Ensure that the chain guard is always applied correctly; I always tightened the guard whenever I re-tensioned the chain. If removing the chain for any reason, ensure that it is placed on correctly when re-fitting it; the chain operates counter clockwise, therefore the chain main cutting/sawing hooks should face in that direction. Finally, I would strongly suggest wearing the supplied gloves and safety goggles when operation the saw.So, overall, I am extremely impressed with the product. I cannot compare it to others that are on the market because I do not know anyone with something similar. I have given this a 4-star rating because of the issues that I have identified above.Hopefully, this review has provided some food for thought for readers who may be contemplating buying this chain saw. Please feel free to ask any questions and I'll endeavour to provide you with a descriptive reply.

You can't go wrong with this mini chainsaw.
This Goldsea mini chainsaw has everything you could want in a small battery operated saw. It is medium priced so it is very good value .It has 2X4ah batteries many are smaller .They have battery level indicators many do not.It has a brushless motor most don't at this price. They have an oil application system saves time and mess. The chain is tensioned by just turning a knob on the side most at this price require using a screw driver which from past experience is a real pain There are 2chains to keep you going and very good battery life for such a powerful small tool.It comes in a very sturdy plastic box to keep it all in.It slices through wood with no problem I have cut 4'' logs easily.Definite 5 star productBut perhaps best to know if you are thinking of buying is they have really great customer service .I had a small issue with my saw which was not their fault but contact through Amazon brought me a very quick reply from a real person who very fairly sorted my problem. How good is that!!I don't think you will find a better mini chainsaw I would buy again, they are by the way really useful tools.

Works well, great battery life
I was genuinely surprised at how well this tackles quite large diameter trees and branches. Battery life is good too and handy that a second battery is also in the kit.I bought it because we had quite a large overgrown area to clear and didn't fancy a coule of days spent with tree loppers and a hand saw. It's a very effective little tool and seems robust enough to cope with heavy use (I cleared about a quarter of an acre of small-medium sized willow trees in about half a day). The kit is comprehensive, and the carrying box handy. The only extra you'll need is some chainsaw oil.
