Call of Duty 2 (Xbox 360)

I read a review in xbox world and tried my brothers copy of it and its so much better than the current no.5 when running it on 1080p. So went out and bought a copy. Its good find that playablitity (all the guns have a good feel, good sound too) and just an all round good game. This is how much fun games should be, The kill cam is a great option too. Worth buying, I only paid £15 pre-owned. jan 2009. Score 4.5 ouf of 5

Firstly, the gameplay is great BUT its unplayable on xbox live, it lags 80% of the time (and thats being kind, probably more) even more annoying is IF it doesnt lag then 1 minute before the game ends you often get the message "server disconnected" or "server closed" basically they rushed the game out for the release of the 360 console. Onto standard play..there is also a bug in the game that randomly deletes your saves!!! I thought I had completed the game as after I completed a level I was sent back to level 1. Only after watching the trailer did I realise I had missed 30% of the game. EVEN worse is the games developer has tried to blame this (the xbox live issue) on microsoft (although other games ie perfect dark DONT LAG AT ALL) They treat their customers with contempt as there is no mention on their website of upcoming fixes or even acknowledging there is a problem. Basically they have sold the game so who cares. My guess is that call of duty 3 will be out soon which will work! If this sounds cynical or bitter check this link and others on the same site and you will see I am not the only one annoyed with the games developer and the bad gameplay. Many customers have emailed them to ask about it and most either received nothing at all, not even a standard "we know there are issues, we are onto it" etc. Those that did get a reply were told "as far as we are concerned this is a microsoft issue so contact them" so buy at your peril!! A real shame as the gameplay itself is great and the online feature would be fantastic BUT IT JUST DOESNT WORK. You have been warned. Save your money for Ghost recon!

If you like war game then this is the game for you. Awesome graphics and fast-paced action. However I have been terribly disappointed by the online features. Compared to PDZ or battlefield II (on Xbox), it is not much fun at all to play this game online. Maximum of 8 players and a poor scaling of the map made me give it up after an hour. To sum it up, if you love Xbox live then do not buy this game!

Only just started this game but for its age it’s great, not that easy which is good, and graphics and gameplay are really good for the age.

Ha I bought this for a joke cause one of my friends said it was good and it actually is. There is no sprinting which means most of the maps are pretty small so you can find people easily. I thought there would be nobody playing nut there was always about twenty people who I got to make friends with and now we play on other games together. And if you like sniping then it's pretty good cause you scope in quite quick but can't do trick shots apart from a ladder stall. And you can only use the original and some bad variations of the controls so no tactical :(. But over all I think this Joke turned out successful.

Having not played this for quite a few years,i was reminded of how good this game is.There's no perk system or exo suits,no double jumping back flips found here.Just your guy and his pre selected load out,be it shot gun,machine gun,rifle or sniper rifle.This game is still so much fun.It woun't be polished like the other games,but what do you expect from an 11 year old game! I just can't believe the servers are still active even today! And i still regard this game to be better than the current call of duties,this is a raw fps experience, recommended

Super game. One of the Xbox best. Really entertaining. COD before it got commercial a, buggy and full of screaming kids and cheaters. Plenty of game play hours to be wild away. A must have in any gaming collection.

A nostalgic C.O.D to go back on but thoroughly enjoyed it Far, far, far less could be said of C.O.D 3 which was a sheer waste of time playing! To the nostalgic players you should seriously forget about this one.... Bugs galore all the way through the damn crap game, hardly any achievements to be earned and a total franchise rip-off full stop! DO play C.O.D 2 though, you'll enjoy a trip back to 2005 when the game was released and plenty of achievements to be earned - passing the veteran levels are certainly possible too - unlike C.O.D 3 which was so poorly developed by Treyarch who 'should be ashamed of themselves but a money spin-off is all it was designed for!
