This is the 2nd UV-5R I’ve bought, this time for my brother. We use it whilst driving which is a complete different experience, the range goes for about 4-5 miles on the motorway and about 2-3 miles in the city. The dual band is very useful when we are in convoy with others and the battery lasts up to 2 days of constant use. Sound quality is pretty good and it’s really easy to use. Would recommend buying an external wired speaker mic for when driving. Would definitely recommend!

When you order it you aren’t going to get everything that is showed you only get the radio, Charger earbuds and a clip to put it on your clothes that is it your not going to get the antenna. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Only thing that lets this down is the lack of direct USB charging. You need the base station so charging on the move is difficult.
