DURATOOL Precision Pen Oiler Tool – 7.5ml | for Clocks, Watches, Sewing Machines & Fine Instruments

I wasn't sure if the oiler containted oil and in fact it does but of unknown viscosity or quality. I would suspect it is a petroleum-based somewhat thick general-purpose hobby oil. Since I wanted to use the oiler for applying lightweight sewing machine oil I decided to empty, clean and refill it. I was very pleased to notice that the steel oiler tube unscrews from the plastic base at the knurled section and has a small o-ring to keep it sealed. I could tip out the majority of the oil into a container and dispose of it with the household rubbish. A twisted corner of a tissue was able to absorb the majority of the remaining oil from the nozzle and body. I then sacrificed about 1ml of Singer sewing machine oil as a "rinse" to get the last of the heavy oil out, including from the nozzle. Do not overtighten the knurled section as it is threaded into a plastic collar. After a final refill the oiler is clean and now contains a known oil specific for my purpose. The pen lid is a little flimsy and is just a push fit but is mainly intended to keep the rubber cap in place. This cap is well made and a snug fit to the oiler. The amount dispensed is intentionally small when you squeeze so allows very fine control over its application. I would like to see the oiler sold (and labelled as) empty to allow buyers to choose the correct oil for their application but it is otherwise a well thought out product.

Bought this oil pen for servicing my sewing machine. Can be controlled much easier than an oil can. Would highly recommend.

This is a quality product which is very well made and built to last. The pen like design has the added advantage off protecting the oiling needle to prevent damage. The oil is easily released to exactly where you need it by way of depressing the button on top. You might have to hold it in for a second or too to get oil dropping out as the internal needle exits the casing just a slight bit. I have used on all sorts of things form toys, Swiss Amy knive to crossbows and airsoft guns. Would recommend this product to those that need it.

This tool is great for applying oil to smaller components. I mostly use it for oiling fan bearings or filling up oil wells on old PC fans. The problem is with the oil that comes with this. It's filled with small micro fibres that block up the hollow needle very easily. I managed to clean mine out with a thin metal wire and tiny lumps of red fibre came out. I read another review on here in Spanish saying the same thing about the red fibres. Amazon recommends you buy this with a bottle of Singer replacement oil. Well not only do I recommend buying that, I recommend pouring out the low quality oil in this tool straight away and filling it up with the Singer oil. Other than the oil it comes with, this is a really great tool and I actually do recommend it.

I needed a tool to help me oil my overlocker without making a mess. None of my other sewing machines require oiling, so I didn’t already have anything already to hand. After reading the existing reviews I chose this and I’m very pleased with it. Its long applicator makes it easy to reach the difficult to reach lubrication points, so it’s very easy and clean to use. I always replace the stopper and store it upright in a cup, so I’ve experienced no problems with leaking between uses. PS I rarely leave reviews, so I’d like to say ‘thank you’ to everyone who took the time to do so before I chose this product; I found them very helpful!

This came yesterday & I decided to have a go as my door hinges were driving me mad. I have used wd40 before and although it does the job the accuracy was a problem & I ended up having to wipe the excess off the hinges. This little tool is so thin & accurate all my doors were done & squeek free in 5 minutes, would definitely recommend 👌 👍.

We travel a lot and often find that something sticks or the door squeaks. It is one of those things that can be very annoying. Hence we bought this little beauty. It is totally sealed so you won't be leaking oil everywhere. The end unscrews to reveal a long thin shaft a little bigger than a syringe. As you press the other end like a ballpoint pen the oil is released drop at a time. You fill it by unscrewing the other end and putting some fine oil in. All the joints have rubber seals so no oil escapes. It goes everywhere with us and even gets used on my musical instruments. Perfect.

L'olio contenuto sembra essere di buona qualità, ha una spiccata untuosità ed ottimo potere di penetrazione, discreta la stabilità ma occorre tempo per poter valutare la sua resistenza alla trasformazione in lacche. Il sistema di microdosaggio è eccellente, l'avevo già usato tanti anni fa ma poi non l'avevo più trovato. Non indicato per lubrificazione di organi (boccole) maggiori di 5 mm a causa della sua bassa viscosità.

El sistema de distribución de aceite es muy práctico y preciso, sin embargo, debido a la cantidad distribuida, no es adecuado para lubricar relojes de pulsera mecánicos. Para lubricar los relojes de pulsera mecánicos, procedo de la siguiente manera: distribuyo una gota de aceite en un pedazo de papel de aluminio o plástico, luego con la punta de una aguja tomo una parte muy pequeña y lubrico el reloj. Utilicé este lubricante con la maquina de afeitar eléctrica, máquina de corte de cabello y depiladora. También probado con cerraduras y bisagras, excelentes resultados con todo! Esta opinión es el resultado de una experiencia personal, ya que el objeto ha sido comprado, utilizado, probado y revisado personalmente (de hecho, es una "Compra verificada"). Espero que esta opinión haya sido útil para decidir si comprar este producto o no.

Der Öler kommt gut gesichert an, er wird in einer Extra Tasche geliefert, falls das Gefäß beschädigt werden sollte... Das Öl lässt sich sehr gut dosieren. Der mitgelieferte Stopfen auf der Nadel sitzt fest, so dass weiteres auslaufen verhindert wird. Tolles Teil!
