Like the FitDesk, the extension kit is sturdy, well made, arrived quickly, and matches up nicely. It was simple to install and works well for my needs. Being right-handed, I experienced the same issue others have commented on regarding using a separate wireless mouse and the cup holder at the same time, but that's not a deal-breaker to me. Overall, I felt this was a very good value for the price paid and extends the usefulness of the FitDesk. I highly recommend this extension kit.

It is as advertized. Only issue is I have a large laptop and it is just too wide to use both sides. I use one at a time depending on what im doing.

Certainly adds additional room, perfect for my coffee/drink and phone. Also have a small note pad. It is a bit awkward in the way my laptop fits, as there’s almost enough room but not quite to have the laptop fit between the two new extensions. Anyways, I like it and can’t believe how much use the Fitdesk is getting.

This thing does exactly what it says but I have a couple of issues. First, design-wise, the extension should probably clip on our fold down for easy removal. . It really increases the width of the bike and makes it way more awkward to get around if it's in a room you need to walk through. I also have to take exception to having to buy another part to improve the function of a product. I know it's common these days but paying a significant percentage of the original bike cost to make it more useful was a tough pill to swallow. . But somewhat necessary to allow me to use it effectively.

Well, it's the only game in town if you have limited space and don't want to shell out $1,200 for a LifeSpan desk. There is no comparison in terms of quality and usability, but you can't move a LifeSpan bicycle desk or treadmill desk and it will set you back an extra grand. So these extensions made my FitDesk usable, kind of. Obviously it makes the desk much wider so I had to move it from where I kept it before because otherwise I could not pass it and since the extensions screw in essentially permanently, you are stuck with how they are unless you walk around with a screw driver and remove and replace them, not recommended. As to functionality, it is manageable for me. The surface is not flat with uncomfortable ridges and not the most stable arrangement. I won't go into too many details about that because most of the negative comments by other reviewers are true, no point in redundancy. I just wanted to show how I jury-rigged the setup to make it usable for me. It may have been more effective to just screw a slab of plywood on top to make it a flat desk and truthfully I may still end up doing that. I placed my Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 15 on the right side in stand mode and use a wireless external keyboard and mouse. I needed to prop up the left side of the laptop with a piece from the back of an old IBM monitor that is not needed in its intended position. The cup holder is rendered useless, covered by the laptop. My preference on the FitDesk used to be to use the Yoga in regular laptop mode but it can no longer be done with this setup if I make room for the second monitor. I keep it close to the wall in front otherwise the laptop would fall. I attached my AOC USB 15" monitor on the left side. It's a little clumsy all in all but I can actually work effectively in the position for a few hours whereas before I could tolerate 15 minutes at most. That was largely because I cannot work efficiently with one monitor. There may be a better solution like adding a monitor arm and I will post an update if I do add one. All in all, I just used this for one day so far and it is far from perfect, However, it does give me the opportunity to move when I have to work at home. In the office I have a LifeSpan treadmill desk (for nearly 3 years, virtually daily for several hours except when I was recovering from an injury and when I had pneumonia) in the office which is way more efficient for me, but for home I think I can manage with this. By the way, I removed the wrist rest bar long ago and I find it way more comfortable. I did not install the document holder which I can see no use for.
