Awesome bag tons of space and very durable for flights
This bag was my husband’s favorite bag for travel that nice brown color. It was good. Something most men and females like the bag was durable and a lot of pockets and it was a good good bag for the plane and it fit a lot more than we thought. If I didn’t have it put away I’d show the picture if anybody ever wanted to see a picture let me know.

The T.A.R.D.I.S. of personal item backpacks
First off, I'm very picky. I spent a ridiculous amount of time combing through all the fine details, photos, and reviews for dozens of very similar bags. In the end I chose the WANDF backpack and I'm glad I did. What I was looking for: ~A compact backpack that met personal item size standards on Frontier airlines (note that not all airlines use the same size standard) ~A fairly clean exterior to minimize chances of straps etc snagging under an airline seat. ~Numerous well thought out compartments with one large main compartment that opened fully similar to a suitcase. ~At least one hidden pocket on the exterior for valuables. ~A pass thru port for a cord from a power pack with a reasonable way to secure that power pack inside while still being easy to remove the pack at TSA if needed. ~Stowable or at least well secured backpack straps when they are not in use. ~Durable materials. ~Comfortable to carry. ~Bonus points for colors I actually like. This bag nails virtually all of those wants. ~In its un-expanded form it does meet personal item size limits on Frontier. When I arrive, if I want to shift things around and use it to carry larger items by expanding it, I also have that option. ~There are numerous pockets and yet the exterior remains fairly smooth and free of snag points. There's even a wet pocket should I need to stash a damp swimsuit or something similar without it completely messing up everything else in the bag. The main compartment swings all the way open (after releasing cinch straps and unzipping) which makes packing easier and facilitates TSA checkpoint. Two zippered pockets inside the main compartment (one mesh, one nylon) offer places to secure small items. A large laptop pocket at the back has ample space for a laptop and other items. The water bottle pocket is a bit odd... I would have preferred it to be open mesh... but it is serviceable. ~The hidden pocket on the back is in the typical spot (low back area) but the zipper tab can be pushed below the padding enough to truly render it invisible to all but the most determined scrutiny which I like for added security. Despite this it's extremely easy to open when need as well. There is a second small exterior pocket which is not technically hidden but is not overly visible on one side of the pack which gives me an additional location to stash small flat valuables. ~The outermost pocket on the front has a rubber pass thru grommet that easily allows a usb cord and/or headphone cord to fit through. The pocket itself is big enough to hold both of my rechargeable battery packs without too much extra space, so they don't slide around and get banged up. The pocket is easy to access for fast removal at TSA if needed. I personally prefer a pass thru port over the built-in connector (hard connector port that you plug battery into on inside of bag and then plug phone into on outside of bag) that some bags have because I depend on my battery pack charging my phone as quickly as possible. Built-in connectors are often of low quality and add a "slow point" in the charge circuit that I just don't find acceptable. Simply passing my own quality high speed cord through the rubber grommet of this bag assures that I get the fastest charge possible. ~Although the WANDF bag does NOT have fully stowable backpack straps, it DOES have a clever way of securing the straps when not in use that works fairly well. The trolley strap on the back can be unhooked at one side and then re-secured OVER the backpack straps to hold them snug. The trolley strap connector is a little difficult to unhook at first, but with practice I got the hang of it. ~The fabric the WANDF is made from feels tough but nice. Time will tell if it is truly durable but it certainly looks and feels the part. I've owned many bags that didn't seem anywhere near this durable that I paid far more for. So my hopes are fairly high that this will hold up. ~The WANDF is generally comfortable to carry as a backpack. Straps are well padded and the back is nicely padded with some air mesh type fabric in all the right places. I would have appreciated a sternum strap, but this is not a deal breaker as it's pretty easy to add one. I will say that the pack sits a bit high on my back (not unexpected for a fairly small pack) which CAN lead to the balance feeling a bit odd depending on how you load it. Weight distribution could prove to be important if you're planning to carry it on your back for long periods... but for short stretches while traveling it's perfectly fine regardless of how you load it in my opinion. ~The color options are pretty basic... black, grey, navy. No bonus points for anything flashy. But... the grey is extremely attractive in my opinion. It has a "heather" effect to it and looks quite nice while still being basically unremarkable... and sometime appearing unremarkable is a good thing. After all, if you ever get tempted to overload this little T.A.R.D.I.S. of a backpack and try to squeak it past a gate attendant anyway, then you probably won't want to stand out too much. All in all... I'm very impressed with the WANDF backpack. It's surprisingly roomy for it's size, has more pockets than I care to try and count, seems well made, looks attractive, is comfortable, and ticked all the boxes I had on my wishlist of features for a personal item pack.

Very comfortable and spacious backpack. Great quality and worth the price.
The Travel Backpack For Spirit Airlines Personal Item Bag 18x14x8 with Wet Pocket, 17 Inch Laptop Backpack for Men Women (Grey) exceeded my expectations! It is the perfect size for Spirit Airlines personal item requirements while still being very spacious and comfortable. It holds a surprising amount of вещей and remains comfortable to carry even when fully packed. I really liked the practical design, especially the wet pocket and the laptop compartment. The material and stitching quality are excellent, and the backpack looks stylish and durable. It truly feels like a small suitcase in backpack form. It completely matches its price and quality. Definitely a 5-star purchase!

Bought specifically for travel with Frontier/Allegiant and it worked great.
I recently purchased the Travel Backpack designed specifically as a personal item for Frontier/Allegient/Spirit Airlines, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. Looking for an affordable way to make some quick trips to see family, I opted for the low fare airlines, but they have size restrictions. Finding the right-sized bag that meets their strict personal item dimensions (18x14x8 inches) can be challenging. This backpack, however, is the perfect solution! First and foremost, the size is spot-on for these Airlines' requirements. The compact design allows me to maximize my packing space while ensuring that the backpack fits effortlessly under the seat. This has proven to be incredibly convenient, especially during crowded flights when overhead bin space is limited and staff are checking everyone's bag sizes. oversized bags can cost up to $100 or more. The zippers are sturdy and glide smoothly, and the reinforced stitching ensures that the backpack can handle the rigors of travel without any issues. I appreciate the thoughtful design elements, such as multiple compartments and pockets, which make organizing my belongings a breeze. Comfort is key during travel, and this backpack delivers on that front as well. The padded shoulder straps are adjustable, providing a comfortable fit for various body types. Even when the bag is fully packed, the weight distribution is well-balanced, making it easy to carry through airports and onto the plane. In conclusion, if you're a low cost Airlines traveler in need of a reliable and perfectly sized personal item backpack, look no further. This backpack is a game-changer, offering durability, functionality, and style all in one.

The zippers did what I feared
Initially I LOVED this bag. Everything as described, perfect amount of pockets and function, held my gym clothes and shoes and lunch and laptop--everything, even if slightly overloaded. It's not designed for a ton of weight. But recently I noticed that, not even during use, one of the interior zippers had completely fallen off. Thankfully the pocket was closed with nothing in it for once, so it's just become part of the bag lining. But today, because the main zipper tabs (the squared ones) have kept turning and getting stuck in an angled position, putting extra stress on the mechanism whether I was trying to get it unstuck, or just using it at that angle to open/close the bag. Today when I went to use the main pocket, that tab broke off too. I almost took off two stars because the issue of them turning and getting stuck happened almost immediately, which made it annoying to open and close. But the rest of the bag has been a champ...I think the zippers themselves could use a little more durability on the main pockets, but I understand the price is lower for a reason, and that didn't affect my opinion of the bag overall. I also take care to not stress zippers, as a rule. The part that actually does the "zipping" or closure of the teeth is the part that broke, so I won't be able to put a new tab on. I'll update with photos later. I guess this is an opportunity to see if I can replace zippers by hand. I believe in me. Look for zippers with rounded tabs.

Great travel companion
I love this bag. It is large and fits a ton in the multiple sections, yet it counts as a personal item onboard every airline I have been on. It hasn't always fit under some of the tight foot holds, esp when over packed, but I could put it overhead or take out a pillow & jacket to squeeze it under if needed. It has a sturdy side strap to carry it like a briefcase (you can tuck away the straps), a pocket that holds it on a roller bag, or straps to wear it as a backpack. It is pretty lightweight, but well-made so you can stuff it full and carry it heavy without fear of tears or breaking (I have maxed it out several times to avoid checking a bag).

great travel pack
This is a great bag. I just returned from a 5 week trip to Europe, and since I didn't want to have to check a bag I used this pack as the personal item and a Hynes Eagle soft sided bag for the carry on. First off, the quality of construction seems to be great, and I never felt that I had to worry about babying the zippers or straps, or worry that something was going to tear. The most amazing part is how much it holds, and how well it holds it all. It has seven zippered storage areas, all easily accessible, so it's not a problem to separate things and get to them easily. As the trip progressed, I kept finding or buying more things that needed a place to be carried, and somehow it all kept on fitting, without ever having to force things. Toward the end of the trip I had a packing square with underwear and socks, a large paperback book, a small paperback book, my electric shaver and its accessories and charger, a number of charging cables, a Ziploc bag with all the 3 oz. liquid containers, a couple pairs of shorts, a light sweater, all of my miscellaneous toiletries, a full size 9 x 12 folder, a16 oz water bottle, a sandwich size Tupperware container full of seashells, and other random small stuff. Also a seven day medication box. On the plane on the way home I was also able to fit in two of the little lap robes that the airlines give you. If you don't want to wear it as a backpack it also has a carry handle on the top and on one side. I didn't have a tablet or laptop, but there would have been room for that as well. The plastic lined pocket for wet items is good as well. I was able to put a wet swimsuit and socks in it with no problem and no worry about getting anything else wet. Needless to say, I'm happy with it and would recommend it highly. I look forward to using it on future trips.

Perfect Carry-On Backpack for Airline Travel
The WANDF Travel Backpack is perfect for Spirit Airlines’ personal item size! It’s lightweight, durable, and fits everything I need for a flight, including my 17-inch laptop. The wet pocket is a great addition for toiletries or snacks, and the multiple compartments keep items organized and accessible. Overall, this backpack is stylish, functional, and airline-approved — a great choice for travelers!

Just arrived, let's see how it handles.
Bag just arrived so I have not packed with it. It's collapsible so does not have its own rigid structure. It's light and roomy. The laptop compartment holds my 15inch macbook air + sleeve. I would put your laptop in a sleeve since it does not have a false bottom. Zippers seem fine, everything opens and closes easily. After I travel with it in 2 weeks will see how the shoulder straps are if they are comfortable. **Followup September 15/2025** after having travelled with it, it is very efficient for space. The water bottle pouch safely carries a 750ml bottle. Straps really help to compress it down. Only thing I noticed is when full and fighting the side straps I can see the threads stretching. I hope they hold up. Ventilation on the back is ok as long as you don't make the backpack too tight against your back. Straps are comfortable for long walks. Plastic in one of the pouches is meant for wet clothes or liquids, but is annoying for getting things and out, and has ripped as I was fighting to get objects out. So I will tear our the plastic. Overall happy with my purchase for the price.
