Overall good product however for the minimum portion it is not always pouring the same amount. Maybe it is because of grain sizes and this problem goes the same with nearly every product. At least my cat can’t steal food from the basket

It’s convenient as it’s automatic, however, the height of the bowl is too low.

After about 6 months of use, this PETLIBRO automatic cat feeder started working unreliably. The main issue is that it no longer dispenses the correct amount of food — sometimes it gives less than the programmed portion, and other times it seems inconsistent between feedings. Because of this, I can’t trust it to feed my cat properly when I’m not home. I cleaned the unit and checked for blockages, but the problem keeps happening. It was great at first, but the long-term reliability hasn’t been good.

After 6 months of use, the feeder simply disconnects from the app and keeps dispensing food nonstop while making noises and announcing “button is locked” (don’t ask me why). This is happening consistently at every scheduled feeding time. This is very dangerous because I am out of my house at my office and my dog keeps eating. Already with some extra pounds, I worry for my dog’s health. I want a replacement or my money back.

Dispenses random amount of food each time even though i click 5g (can be anywhere between 8-15-20g) yes i checked multiple times for accuracy with different scales. If you need something precise, skip this. If you're buying it anyway, test with external scale to see how much comes out, you will see the portion control is not consistent different every time.

Ich habe den Futterautomat gekauft da ich aktuell leider öfter mal 2-3 Tage nicht Zuhause bin, aber nicht jedes Mal meine Nachbarn bitten möchte die Katze zu füttern. Der Futterautomat ist die perfekte Lösung. Die Metallschale kann einfach zur Reinigung rausgenommen werden, was für mich ein sehr wichtiger Punkt war. Man kann mehrere Mahlzeiten verschiedener Menge einstellen, was ich super finde. Die Bedienung ist einfach & gut erklärt. Man kann die Mahlzeiten einfach einzeln deaktivieren, muss aber auch daran denken sie danach wieder manuell einzustellen, da sie sonst auch am nächsten Tag nicht ausgegeben wird. Es passen Schätzungsweise 1,2 Kilo in den Tank des Futterautomates, was locker mehrere Tage, ggf Wochen, ausreicht und das Futter bleibt frisch. Seitdem ich auf den Futterautomat umgestiegen bin frisst meine Katze ihr Futter gefühlt auch viel lieber (vorher hatte ich einen Turmspender, hat funktioniert aber war eben nicht optimal) und ich brauche mir keine Sorgen mehr zu machen wenn ich mal 2 Nächte nicht Zuhause bin. Der Tank ist mit einem Drehverschluss gesichert, der von Tiere nicht geöffnet werden kann. Im Falle eines Stromausfalls läuft der Automat auch Batteriebetrieben, dieses Feature habe ich noch nicht getestet. Bei kurzer Strom Unterbrechung 2-3 Minuten behält er außerdem seine Programmierung bei (keine Ahnung wie es bei längerer Unterbrechung ist), jedoch läuft die Uhr dann nicht weiter und die Fütterung verschiebt sich demnach ein wenig nach hinten was aber nicht schlimm ist. Für mich eine klare Empfehlung und eine gute Investition, man hat unbesorgt etwas mehr Flexibilität auch im Alltag.

We initially purchased this to replace some ageing "cat mate" feeders which the cat could easily break into & eat all the food in one go not to mention bat them so much the batteries could fall out. Enter the Petlibro. Initially I set it up to test it, ready for when we were next away, but found it so good we've taken to using it permanently. It comes with a USB-C plug-in mains adaptor & takes 3x D-size batteries as a backup. it is well made and I honestly think the cat would have a hard time breaking into it. The lid turns and locks into place tightly, the tank clips into the base tightly with large tabs. Make sure you push down enough to ensure both the tabs have clicked. The base is solid and weighty, helped even more once the batteries are fitted. I think it would be difficult for a cat to knock over. I set up her normal feeding times and to be honest I wish we'd purchased this much sooner - it now just sits there and does the job, no more measuring her food each day. I recommend filling the tank with your cat's kibbles then pressing the feed-now button & weighing what's dished out, from there you can make a decision of how much (how many portions) to feed each time. I repeated this several times and found it to be consistent. The trick is to test. A portion = the physical amount the very bottom well takes which equates to aprox 2.5 teaspoons or 20ml. In our case this equated to 8-9 grams per portion which is perfect. Set up is relatively simple, a mode button scrolls through setting the time and then each feeding time, number of portions, and whether to use the (gimmicky) voice recording feature. To be honest the whirr of the motor followed by the food arriving in the bowl launches our cat from zero to full speed in less than 2 seconds. She's usually at the bowl before the feeder has finished playing my voice. Note that, oddly, it doesn't feature the 24 hour clock or the ability to switch to it. It strictly uses the 12 hour clock format with AM/PM so pay attention when setting the clock and setting up the feeding times. 18:00 hours needs to be set up as "6:00 PM", for example. Despite not being internet connected (or to my knowledge receiving the MSF radio clock signal) there seems to be no clock drift so far, but it's only been running for a few weeks. All in all I'm very impressed so far, it's been running for a few weeks without any issues. The real test will be how well it's running in 6 months or a year's time, but for now I would definitely recommend not just for when you're away but as a regular automated cat feeder.

Produit de très bonne facture, au design sympa. Simple à utiliser. Nous en avons acheté 2 car 2 chattes. Il se démonte assez facilement pour le nettoyage. J'estime que le réservoir de 3 L nous permet de tenir 1 mois pour chaque chatte, ce qui est amplement suffisant. Donc pas la peine d'acheter plus grand pour des chats. On leur donne 55 g par jour. Je mets 4/5 parce que j'aurai préféré la possibilité de réduire de moitié la taille d'une portion (20 ml soit 10 à 12 g par portion selon les croquettes, c'est juste et 10 ml aurait été mieux). L'une de nos chattes prend des croquettes avec lesquelles une portion fait 10 g. Donc, je peux soit lui donner automatiquement 50 G ou 60 g par jour mais pas 55 g. La seule façon quand nous ne sommes pas là plusieurs jours, est d'alterner dans la programmation des journées à 5 portions et à 6 portions.

As with other reviews, the setup is far from intuitive. But once you get it, it's very easy to adjust future settings and reprogram as necessary. The battery compartment was just shy of a nightmare to get get the batteries in. The springs are so stiff that they had no give at all and after most of my knuckles were shredded in the process, I had to find a lever to hold the springs out of the way while I jammed the batteries in. Despite putting brand new ones in, the battery warning light came straight on and has not gone away. I will try a different brand at some point though and see if that helps. I use this daily as I work very odd shifts and I want to ensure a routine for my cat. It's very reliable as long as the hopper is kept topped up. I have it set to dispense three times a day. Mine is hooked up to the mains and I've not had an issue yet for the last few months. The portion size is a bit inconsistent. I also recommend weighing the first few portions to 'calibrate' your programme against. Mine is coming out between 7-10g. The voice function is a bit of a gimmick. The volume is awful and you basically need to yell into it to pick anything up on the mic, but that's hardly a necessary feature. The one realllllly annoying thing about it however, is just a slight oversight in design. The 'unlock' button is right next to the 'immediate dispense' button. Which took all of 20 minutes post setup for my extremely food motivated cat to climb on, sit on the unlock for long enough to access the touch screen, and immediately dispense herself a meal.... We overcame this by putting the device right against the wall to prevent her from getting at the unlock button. However, for it's rather stressful initial setup and lack of foresight in button placement, it is sturdy, reliable and much approved by the cat. I know she is fed regularly when I'm at work, and I don't have to feel guilty about being late home. And this is more than capable of covering her if we go away. For peace of mind it is well worth the price. Definitely recommend if you're willing to be patient with setup!
