Not going to be able to find a better brand for Verbatim for the price and performance.
I never have a bad burn from Verbatim. If you have a bad burn on a disc or multiple discs it's probably your burner and you will have to replace your cd burner. These are quality discs and I highly recommend them. The only disappointment to me is that it doesn't come with a hub. Keep in mind that there's a difference between DataLifePlus and the green Verbatim. The green ones come with a Hub which is nice but I prefer the blue DataLifePlus. I think it's just about preference. I don't know if one outlast the others. Online they claim that DataLifePlus is better but anyone can write anything online and it doesn't make it true. Anyways, great product and highly recommended. I use these for Saturn Games because of how expensive Saturn games are. I wouldn't be able to play Saturn games if it wasn't for Verbatim and other cd-r brands. I prefer Verbatim because no issues with this brand and I'm able to print nice images onto the discs. The picture I took is of the disc after it burns the image onto the disc. These are also always pretty affordable in the lower 20 dollar range for a pack of 100 cd-r. Now prices fluctuate so right now they are a good deal. When I was younger discs like these in stores would cost over 30 bucks.

Verbatim AZO Discs: Great for Audio CD's
I've ordered two kinds of these discs, the total Silver Inkjet printable and the Silver with the regular hub. Both have worked great for me. I only use these to burn Audio discs to play in CD players, and they have worked fine with my home stereo CD player (an old 2004 Sony), my Sony Blu-ray and my car (2014 Honda). I don't actually print on them with an inkjet printer, I just write and color them with Sharpies. They take Sharpie ink very well, and will work with probably any permanent marker really. I prefer the "Naked" surface of the silver discs, without all the branding. I have used almost 100 of them over the course of two years, and rarely had a disc not work. The only time I had an issue with discs not working was when I first got them, I tried to burn the discs at different speeds with the CD-burner. These discs work best when I just set the CD burner software to burn it at "Maximum Possible" speed. Whenever i set it to burn at a set rate or to burn slower, the discs would usually be messed up, with glitches on playback. Once I figured out that slow or set speed burns didnโt work very well, Iโve never had problem with discs not working (and just letting the burner do itโs thing automatically with โMax/variable speedโ) I use a 2012 Macbook Pro with a Superdrive and a cheap external LG DVD burner. I think they are both 24X speed. Software Iโve used has been iTunes, XLD app, or Roxio Toast Titanium. The discs I burned previously have played fine months or a year later. So if you have issues with the discs not working right for Audio, check your burner settings and set it to " Maximum", โBestโ or "Variable" speed. I think some discs and burners are just meant to work at variable speed. Also, if recording Audio, be sure to select "include CD-Text" so when playing it in the car, the track info will show up on the CD player. Anyway, I just re-ordered the SIlver Hub Printable ones because I like the full silver look and I'm starting to run low. These are very good value discs and the AZO coating is supposedly better to use than others. Recommended!

If you like making mix CDs, these are the ones to get!
As a teen in the 2000s, I have made quite a number of mix CDs before the advent of iTunes, Youtube, and Spotify. Most were made on whatever cheap blank CDs I could afford at the time. Lots of skipping, sound quality issues, etc. I recently got back into making mix CDs. There's just something very satisfying about sealing a dozen or so of your favorite songs into a piece of shiny plastic to pop into your car's CD player during a long traffic jam. These DataLifePlus blank CDs just don't skip at all, there's no sound problems on playback, or quality loss. I wish I had these back around 2005! I'm also one of those nerds who likes to make custom sticker artwork to put onto the blank CDs, and the fact that these don't have any markings on the top of the blank CDs means that you can put the stickers on them without seeing a logo or anything under the sticker. And if you're artistically inclined, you could even doodle on the blank labels. You can do a lot with these, so they are WELL WORTH the money! Get 'em!

Out of date packaging in listing photo at time of purchase
The CDs I have received are produced by Mitsubishi Chemical Company (MCC) and are blue azo dye based. I purchased a 50 pack of Verbatim DataLifePlus disks for audio CD burning. A device I wish to play burned disks in is very picky about burn quality. These DataLifePlus disks do produce a better quality burn over cheaper Verbatim branded CD-R produced by CMC. However, at the time of purchase the packaging shown in the listing stated the burn speeds as "1-52x". This is no longer true. The package I received only mentioned the *max* speed of '52x'. I reached out to Verbatim support and the speed range supported by these disks is 16-52x. Lower speeds like 1x, 2x, etc are not supported by the medium. While I am able to get my player to read a burned DLP disk, it struggles (the burning drive itself does matter as well, and I am still experimenting to see if I can reach a better quality). If you are not trying to burn specifically for weak old CD drives, then these are good optical disks. EDIT: after testing a Plextor PX-891SAF PLUS drive, it was able to write to the media at 8x speed. So while most drives I tested will not write below 16x, some will write at lower speeds.

The Real Deal
These Verbatim discs are made by Mitsubishi Chemical Corp using a Blue AZO dye. If you know what that means you know why it's a good thing. They burn perfectly in ImgBurn and Alcohol 120% and seem to be more reliable than the standard Verbatim discs made by CMC Magnetic. No coasters in this batch!

I keep buying these for a reason.
Great media as always. Superior recording with my Plextor drive at 8x. Discs are able to be read in a multitude of devices new and old. Wish handling during shipping was better, but all in all I'm very satisfied.

Very reliable CD-R blanks.
I have been purchasing Verbatim CD-R printable blanks for years for my business Hernandez Video Services. I convert any audio format (cassette, reel to reel, 8-track, LP Album) to CD and can duplicate CDs. This specific brand has been extremely reliable. In the 30 years I have never received a complaint from a customer of playability errors.

Go with Verbatim, every time.
Apart from these discs, that feel, look, and operate very nicely, I can think of quite a few Verbatim products I've had over the years that I've also had good experiences with. I found a Verbatim external USB drive that I used in high school, still kept all my files, despite the dust and the heat of summer, sitting on a shelf for so long. I'm impressed.
