Gizmo Dorks 1.75mm PLA 3D Filament 4 Color 200g Each Blue Green Orange Red

After reading the reviews regarding color accuracy, I was hesitant to purchase this pack, but I'm *very* glad I did. I've almost finished each of the four spools, and the quality has been excellent across the board. Additionally, Gizmo Dorks customer service was fast and helpful when I had a question before ordering. COLOR I'm not sure why there are complaints about color. My filament had strong color, which matched the described blue, green, orange, and red. In the review photo I've compared printed items to the authoritative color source-- Lego bricks. The orange filament is a slightly more yellowish tone than a "true" orange, but I also found the color to be more aesthetically pleasing than a bright orange. (Each of the filament colors also match the appropriate CSS color name, but Legos are always the answer.) PRINT QUALITY Excellent prints using an Ender 3 at 195 degree/45 degree hot end/build plate temperatures (bed adhesion, layer adhesion, and dimensional accuracy). No issues with filament diameter in any of the spools. TIP: store the spools in an airtight container (or zip-top freezer bag) with the desiccant pouches the spools shipped with. This will reduce the chances humidity will compromise the filament quality. CUSTOMER SERVICE I emailed Gizmo Dorks customer service get a copy of the Safety Data Sheet (SDS). I received a follow-up email almost immediately, and I received the SDS the next day. This was amazingly quick and painless compared to many other vendors. CONCLUSION I'll be switching over to Gizmo Dorks as my primary source for PLA filament. The quality is excellent, and the price can't be beat.

I read a lot of reviews on this filament and it seemed to me that there was quite a few negative comments. After using the filament myself, I felt the need to address those comments. 1). Color quality. I saw a few comments about this filament being dull and not vibrant. I did not find this to be the case. I liked the look of the colors and once they were printed they did not lose that appearance. The colors appear pretty much they way they do on the picture. 2). Filament diameter tolerance. I cannot speak to exact variations in diameter, but I can say the the filament appears pretty consistent. It fed into my printer without issue and printed very well. 3). Winding. Here was the one complaint that I can agree with. The filament is not wound with the same degree of accuracy and precision as most that I have bought. I can see where snags might happen. Now, saying that, I have not experienced any snags or tangles. 4). Quantity. It is four spools of 250 gram filaments each. It is advertised as such. I bought what was advertised and got what was advertised. I don’t understand some of the comments about the spools being small. I found it to be an excellent price for four different colors when my needs were small. If you need large amounts of a particular color, you should look elsewhere. 5). Print quality. I’ve bought filament from Amazon before and have had nothing but problems with it. This is not the case here. The filament prints out well and the detail is about what I would expect. Understand, I’m not a high utilization user. I print for fun. And what I find passable or good may not be in the eyes of an expert. I’ve included pictures because i think they will say more than I can. I bought this filament to make game pieces. It does this well. I’ve not found any uses yet for large prints. If all you are using this for is limited runs then you will be happy with this.

Great filament. Great price! Never has tangled on me, I even bought their bigger spools and have no problems with tangling. Prints just fine too! No problems with moisture & no problems with stringing. Also, an empty spool is about 79 grams. You’re welcome :)

Nice starter set but the red kept breaking off and clogging my extruder (Flashforge AD5X)

I got this as a sample of different colors rather than buying full-sized spools of each color as I usually print in either black or white and then paint my prints. I found the filament to give good results overall. I had no issues with printing any of the colors - all printed well with my standard printing process and settings. The colors are nice - just as pictured here. The orange is a bit cream-sickle, and I would have preferred a larger value (darker color) but that's just a minor concern. I used the orange to print some custom prototyping stations and they turned out wonderfully, so no harm, no foul. The red and blue are strong, mid-value colors, and the green is very sap green (if you are familiar with watercolor paint) It works wonderfully for making Minecraft blocks, where the slightly cartoonish green works perfectly. Each spool is individually packaged with desiccant, and arrived in good shape and ready to print. It's PLA, so moisture retention is not as big a concern as other materials, but it is simple to dry any filament in a few hours if needed. The spool size is small, as you would expect, and I plan on using the empties for holding remainders of other filaments once these are used up. I would certainly buy this again as the results were very good and it saved me quite a bit over purchasing full spools of colors that I would not likely use up.

I bought the 4-Spool sample PLA 6 Years ago and have used many other Brands but, this PLA always prints excellent and the finished prints are the Best! So good that I save it for printing stuff needing higher quality printing. The only downside is the higher Cost compared to some others. I store it in a Tub with a Mr. Coffee set with a On/Off Timer to keep my Filaments Dry. Have NOT broken any PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU Filament in the past 15 Years! This has not been good filament. It it’s rubbery and does not put off the prints or snap off well. It’s bendy and very frustrating. Don’t recommend .

Not too much to say other than this filament has given me no issues at all. It has printed in my flashforge adventurer 3 better than flashforge branded filament has so far. Colors don’t seem faded or washed out at all. The color has been nice and consistent. Good adhesion and have yet to get a jam with it. Prints have been durable and strong with no brittle situations. My only gripe is the spool size. My flashforge already prioritizes the half size spools and this filament is not even half the size as that. These are very short/small rolls. The only thing I would suggest to make this a 100% every time I need filament buy for me would to make each spool 500g instead of the 200g. If they did that, this would be the only stuff I would buy without question.

Si necesitas colores variados para tus impresiones y no quieres gastar en carretes de 1kg de filamento, esta es una buena opción. De repente hay que estar pendientes de la impresión porque a veces pasa que el filamento viene un poco más grueso y se puede llegar a atorar (me pasó sólo con una de muchas impresiones, por lo cual no creo que sea un problema tan común). La adhesión entre capas es muy buena, la fuerza del material es buena. Los colores me parecieron muy bonitos. La usé en una Ender 3 Pro con 210° en la boquilla y 70° en la cama, fueron los ajustes que mejor me funcionaron para adhesión a la cama y adhesión entre capas, además de que da una pieza robusta y resistente. Sin duda volveré a comprar cuando se me acabe.
