Challenger Lite sleeping bag review.
I purchased this bag to take with me on a camping trip to north Iceland during the height of winter a while back. The coldest it got was around -20C. I was very comfortable in the -10C range, but if you are going colder than that I would recommend wrapping your feet in something warm, since on the cold nights my feet went numb. But like I said that's ok if you wrap a coat around your feet. Also I would recommend using a very good mat and even laying down a coat beneath the bag to add extra insulation from the cold ground. All in all this is a great bag, but the only draw back is the size when packed. I bought the bag even though I knew how big it was because it's a cheep alternative to down bag's.If you can budget for it I would recommend that you get a good down sleeping bag. The con to down sleeping bags is that if they get wet, they will not be effective enough to keep you warm, however if you get a bivvi bag as well you can guarantee a dry bag plus extra insulation. The many up sides of down sleeping bags include; they are incredibly effective at insulating you when combined with a good sleeping mat, it is possible to pack them up to incredibly small sizes freeing up more space in your bag for other important things for your cold weather trip. However, like I said, if this is the most cost effective sleeping bag for you, as it was for me, I would recommend it fully from personal experience.

Excellent sleeping bag
I chose this sleeping bag for my arctic survival classes and it kept me comfortable combined with a goretex bivi bag. It is durable and has a liner behind the zipper preventing heat loss by cold bridge convection. Weight is acceptable, and even there are lighter bags on the market I prefer comfort over low weight when in really cold climate. At this price range you can't really go wrong. Con's : None so far (a year after purchase)

plus a decent Thermorest mattress I was very disappointed at the lack of warmth this bag was able ...
As a keen camper I thought I'd buy this 4 season bag to superceed my 2/3 season bag. for an impending trip in the Alps in May.Prior to trip I tried this bag in the UK, for two nights at a camp site.. What a wate of money. The April 26th cold snap, in W.Sussex it got down to -1, with no wind, in a decent tent but this bag was totally inadequate, it did not in anyway keep me warm, I had to use a thick blanket, doubled up before the body heat stayed within. With no underlying health issues and a decent meal before, plus a decent Thermorest mattress I was very disappointed at the lack of warmth this bag was able to retain.I shall be returning this product, and continue to use my previous sleeping bag.

Not quite what I thought
It's a nice big, thick bag, but there's no shoulder baffle. To be honest, I thought it was a Highlander make bag, but it's ProForce? Not quite the same. Highlander bags do have baffles. I'll use it as a back up to my usual bag, I don't backpack, so for camping-out-the-car, it's okay.

Great sleeping bag well made and very warm
Very good 4 season sleeping bag .... This is very warm and very well made. It's not small however so beware if your carrying it any distance with back pack.

Toastie in real cold nights
I suffer from an autoamune disease so can feel the cold more than most. Used this for the first time in a really wet and cold night. I can trust this bag to keep me warm in the outdoors any freezing Scottish might. It is big and slightly more heavy but worth the space.

Really warm!
Does what it says on the tin - have camped out in it at -4C and was toasty warm all night.

Large, but not THAT large
I'm 194cm tall and wanted a large sleeping bag that I can use in the spring, summer and autumn. The sleeping bag arrived as promised and I gave it a try - I fit inside it, but I have a hard time seeing how it can be 255cm long as stated in the details. No doubt, it IS rather long, but I could have use an additional 10-20cm ..... (did they send me the wrong one, as mine is only 230cm?)The bag, however, is very nice - I look forward to trying it out for real.
