Excellent functionality, love to apple play, as mentioned on other reviews the volume change is a bit weird, the designers didn't thought it trough. Is easy to install and great value for the money. Havent had any issues with connectivity. Great purchase, exceed expectations.

The bluetooth CarPlay actually works pretty well. The big issue is there is no volume control - where there is a slider on the screen if you push the power button. But, it is nearly impossible to change the volume that way. The remote works to change the volume but it broke with about 2 weeks. Didnt want to take the whole stereo out so I got ahold of the company. They said they would send a new remote. 6 months later and still no remote has appeared. They said it would ship from china. Well it didnt. Otherwise a nice stereo except for the volume control and the remote. I hope they read this and send me a new remote.

UPDATE- AFTER MY REVIEW I WAS CONTACTED BY THE SELLER ABOUT MY ISSUES WITH THE PRODUCT. SELLER WITHOUT HESITATION SENT A REPLACEMENT UPON DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION OF PRODUCT SOME OF THE SAME ISSUES BECAME NOTICEABLE. I HAD REACHED OUT TO SELLEE WITH MY CONCERNS TO WHICH I RECEIVED A RAPID REPLY DOING EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO SATIFY ME. WE AGREEDED ON COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PRODUCT WHICH WAS SENT FREE OF CHARGE FOR MY TROUBLES. HREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. EVEN BETTER PRODUCT I ENDED UP WITH. ALL AND ALL I AM COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH MY PURCHASE. IF ONLY ALL CUSTOMER SERVICE INTERACTIONS WERE THIS PLEASANT. WOULD MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. (Getting 1 star because I have to out something kn order to submit this review. After install it took a while to get it all figured out. The calibration was so far off that you had to touch in the opposite side of the button to get it to register. You have to touch whatever it is you want multiple times before it registers. No operation manul. Would have been helpful. It’s been about 2 months now and issues still arise. When I’m connected with mirror link or CarPlay when I disconnect none of the other sources will work and produce sound. I did find that once I shut the car off and turn it back in all is operational again. But what a hassle to turn the car off an on just to hear the radio. Definitely should have a lower price for the low quality.

However, there's one notable drawback that I've encountered while using Apple Carplay – the inability to adjust the volume directly on the screen. Instead, you have to mute the audio first and then adjust the volume using your finger, which can be a bit cumbersome. Fortunately, keeping the remote handy allows you to adjust the volume more easily, but it's not the most ergonomic solution, especially when you're trying to keep both hands on the steering wheel. Despite this minor inconvenience, the Hikity radio serves its purpose as a budget-friendly option for those looking to upgrade their car audio system with wireless Apple Carplay functionality. While it may not be perfect, it gets the job done and meets my basic needs for an in-car entertainment system.

I got this to get CarPlay in my old Ford Escort and was shocked at the size of this player. It was easy to wire with the factory wiring adapter I got and it works, well…it works! However, I do have some complaints about it. For one, this unit gets hot in use! On initial install, I had this running maybe 10 minutes testing it and going through all the menus and functions and the back of this thing was dang near too hot to touch! I don’t know how lifespan might be impacted by this, but I expect it won’t be nearly as long as a name brand unit. Second, the loudness option is just too dang distorted. I messed with the equalizer settings and it still sounds not the best in loudness. But it passes if you dial the bass and mid tones down. Finally, volume controls? Ain’t gonna do it on the unit! In other words, don’t lose the remote, because that is the easiest way to do it. You can adjust it on the unit itself, but you have to mute the deck first. Not really ideal. Other than that, it seems to work as you would expect. Is it great? No. It is bad? No there either. It’s just…eh. It does what you want. Cheap and does CarPlay. I’ll run it until it goes. With the way it builds heat, that might be sooner than I hope!

The stereo worked great for about a month and then the screen lost the display. Music still plays and the screen is on, but there is no visual display. Guess that what you get for less than $60.

Installed in a classic car with an old single din cd player. Fits perfectly and adds 2024 car features to it. Wireless car play and android auto work great! Sound is great as well. Only complaint is volume control on CarPlay and Android Auto. No button and only at the Home Screen or by using the remote. Otherwise, solid product!

Great radio, perfect for what I need and screen seems to be working smoothly. Bluetooth connects smoothly every time. The only downside is I wish it was able to be a little more louder lol. I like my music very loud and the external volume button but other than that it's great for the price.
