Should have bought it sooner!
Worth every penny! Really helps direct the heat into the room, can feel the heat about 6-8 foot from the fireplace. Looking to add little side ones now.

This was a Christmas present to a young man in his first bought home and he was thrilled with it. We are in a winter storm with record lows and he said these are helping tremendously to keep his home warm. Now I wish I had gifted myself too.

Not tall enough for my taller fire box. Does still put out some heat tho
It's very heavy not painted but that don't matter fire is against it. The feet are but that's my gripe. The feet are not tall enough and it's to short in my fireplace. I'm going to order taller feet but if you have a taller fire box this is what it's gonna look like. Built well tho and as it is it seems to put out more heat. Anything to not get a ugly fireplace insert.

Chimney inspector said this was best quality & price
The chimney sweep/ chimney inspector guy recommended this as a replacement to the one I had for about 10 years. The old one was cracked. These protect the back of your fireplace (the chimney sweep/ inspector calls it the firebox). He measured & said this was the best quality and price. It has worked great so far. It has 2 stands on bottom, which doesn’t work in my fire place. I burn wood & have many fires. Very, very, very heavy!

No matte black finish
I was expecting a nice matte black piece, and it is just a piece of metal. There is no black matte finish on it. Very disappointing. May return, but don't know if we will because of how heavy it is.
