Completely changed my senior Doberman's life!
I can't sing the praises of this harness loudly enough. My large 80 lb. senior Doberman suddenly sustained a leg injury and couldn't support himself on his back legs with his bad hips. He was falling every time he tried to walk around the house and couldn't make it down the stairs by himself. I was so afraid and a towel sling just wasn't cutting it and might have given him a bladder infection. This harness was a lifesaver for us. It arrived quickly and was very easy to get him into and out of, even when he was lying down. My dog was able to go up and down stairs safely, go for walks, and even run with assistance. We used this multiple times daily for 8+ months with no noticeable wear to the harness. I thought it was a little big for him since he has narrow hips, but it worked. I was afraid that downsizing might reduce the thickness of the straps which were perfect for his weight as-is. Customer service responded to my inquiry quickly, but I decided to stick with what we'd bought. The harness couldn't stay on by itself and we didn't use the hard part that goes under the dog's belly. We had to clip it with the provided strap to his regular harness and it worked perfectly with me holding his handle in my left hand and his leash in my right. Love this product and so very thankful I found it!

Helps male dog with lifting and walking, but he pees all over it
There is a teather that connects to collar, but this pulls my dog’s neck when he lays down, so I have to remove it after the walk. Also, as the collar naturally turns on his neck, it ends up being on his right or left side instead of being on the center of his back. Without it, however, the harness just falls off. It would be better secured to a shoulder harness that wraps around his chest, with a teather on either side of his body instead of across his back. Plus-he pees all over it when I walk him. This may be better for a female dog. It IS sturdy, easy to grip and lift, has a comfortable grip, and was reasonably priced. I just wish I could leave it on him, because trying to put it on / take it off multiple times a day is really tough since he weighs so much.

Exactly what we needed!
Our 14 year old,100 lbs old Golden Retriever has weak back legs and knuckles sometimes when he walks. He’s having a harder time getting up from tile floors and keeping his balance. We were using a towel as a sling to support him when he really needed it, but this harness has improved his quality of life so much. He took to it right away and was on the move around the house more. It helps with bathroom walks. However, you have to be prepared to unclick the belly strap so male dogs can pee correctly. The belly strap has a removable curved cup to accommodate male dogs, but if the weight of the dog is being support by the belly strap the dog may pee on himself. The leg straps are enough support during all bathroom needs. The belly strap keeps the harness in place so he can wear it all the time while we’re home. The harness handle is perfect for large dogs as it does not get in the way like longer straps would. He is able to move around on his own and we have a handle always ready to support his backend when we need it. It does not look uncomfortable when he lays down because the harness fits loosely. While it is easier to put on him when he is standing, it’s possible to put it on while he is laying down. Even my small 11-year-old child can help him stand up and move around the house when he needs support. I think it’s given him more confidence to get up and walk because he know we can help him better. Perfect so far.

Can slip
Handle is good. But the harness will slide back and off when the dog walks, unless you are always holding on or it is attached forward to a collar using what the seller calls a carry strap. Carry strap has heavy gauge clips that seem unnecessary in size/weight, could be lighter.

THIS DOESN"T WORK!
I was looking so forward to some relief and help with trying to get my 90 lb dog inside and outside. My husband and I are older and are dealing with my dog that has come up lame (still testing to see why) and either we got a REALLY DEFECTIVE UNIT or they are all just CRAP! There is one piece that connects to under the legs to the back that is so flimsy and difficult. We were already at our wit's end trying to care for our dog and for two days we messed with trying to get this connected and each time we put it together it would disconnect itself or fall apart in that one weak place. NO THANK YOU! SO EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. DO NOT BUY THIS POC!]

A great support system for large dogs
This helped my girls immensely. They were both suffering from mobility and DM and this harness made it very easy to quickly get them up when they slipped. We did not use the leg loops and just kept the waist harness fitted on. It was good for walks and going up and down a few steps.

Priceless for an older dog
Our 15 yo golden retriever woke up very unsteady one morning and unable to navigate stairs or hardwood floors without slipping. This was a godsend and we were thrilled with the quality. Very easy to put on and the dog seems very comfortable. Shes able to walk comfortably and doesn’t even seem to notice or care that it’s on. The extended strap is great so you don’t need to bend. If you have a dog with mobility issues this is so handy. Our dog has a much better quality of life with this as a help for her to get around.

Likely practical only for FEMALE DOGS with THIN WAISTLINES
A GREAT concept that's almost 100% impractical (*especially if you have a boy dog). Even in the instructions, it reads that this is not intended to be worn all the time. But...... if it's only meant to be worn while the dog is standing, but the dog can't get up from its lying down position without assistance, what use is this product when it's not designed to REMAIN on a dog while lying down? If you TRY to keep it on your dog while he/she is lying down, it slides RIGHT OFF....STAT. And, once it IS on, and you've used it to get your dog up to go outside to do HIS number, boy dogs must first have the only waist support strap removed, because it otherwise rests on its underside, right across the "manhood". 🍆 Even WITH the waist strap attached, the entire thing falls down to the ground like a pair of loose pants, with the dog leaving it behind him/her - ALMOST nearly as fast as Ben left JLo. (SORRY, JLo!) When your dog makes his/her next stop, you're back to having a dog with no support assistance device on. VERY VERY well-made item. It just didn't work for my chubby doggie. A POSSIBLE SAVING GRACE: This product MIGHT work on dogs (at least on females) who have thin waistlines. My doggy is a touch tubby..... which happens to be his (Toby's) nickname......"TUBBY"! 😁 A thinner waistline might afford the user to cinch the waistband tighter so the entire contraption doesn't end up sliding down the back side of the dog, and into a puddle on the floor like yesterday's underwear. (Boy dogs can't pee with the waistband strapped to them, so it's GUARANTEED to slip down to the ground.) BEST USE: FEMALE DOGS WITH THIN WAISTLINES

Very good idea
Great in principal. Fits my Golden Retriever well. Nicely padded rear straps. Very good quality. A little fiddling to fit and get snug fit. But once correct fit accomplished, it’s fine. But I should have taken advice. Although you can use it as a stand alone harness, it does slip backwards. Ideally you need the front harness as well. I’ve tried to order the front one with no success. They only seem to sell them as a combined set of back & front harness together, which will make it very pricey if I have to do that. Unable to contact seller to see if I can purchase the front harness. Any one any ideas?

Endlich was vernünftig für große Rüden!
Endlich was vernünftig für große Rüden!
