Victoria Cast Iron Saucepan, Cast Iron Melting Pot, Made in Colombia, 2QT

Bought this for heating milk. Seems to be quality cast iron. Heats well and fast. Good price. Great for single servings. Easy to clean if you're familiar with cast iron.

Love cast iron. Pan looks great. Very sturdy. Not sticky--items come out of pan as it's pre-seasoned. Good value for your money. Every other pan we own is Lodge and this seems to fit the same value. Could not find a saucepan from Lodge.

The sauce pan is typical Victoria quality, which means outstanding, much smoother than Lodge is and for me this pan is just the right size. Now for the bad: The packaging was horrible! I should note it wasn't Victoria that shipped it. Put in a box with i sheet of paper to protect it not much bigger than a sheet of computer paper. It arrived with the handle sticking all the way out of the box. The good news is that Victoria is made well and it had no damage.

Excellent pot...I would say it's better than my lodge cast iron..arrived in great shape seasoning on it was good and it come alot smoother than my lodge stuff ...but I still washed and dried it rubbed a coat of lard on it baked it in oven for 1 hour and it come out nice and dark and smooth...first thing cooked in it was pot of rice and didn't stick at all slid right out... excellent cast iron pot I will be ordering more of the Victoria cast iron

Very nice pot. Heavy, good quality. Heats fast and stays hot for quite awhile. Cleans easily. Does make broth much darker initially. I use for daily soup/broth to help with iron intake as the trace iron deposited in food is better tolerated than supplements for me. Would buy again.

Perfect for one or two people. I was raised on fried chicken. Now I am the only one who eats anything fried. My husband does not. I can fry a piece of chicken just for me and this pot is perfect for this. I like that it has the pouring flutes on the side so that I can easily dispose of the used oil/shortening. I can't be more pleased.

Be sure to oil and bake your cast iron a couple times in the oven before use. Always pre-heat the pan before use. Never use soap to clean, ever.

Perfect size for sauce making, garlic braising, butter warming, milking frothing, even spice heating and pounding…. Can easily stick into the oven while baking bread. A very handy everyday pot. Bought it at half the current price, excellent value ! Amazon pricing can be mind boggling at times.
