FYI - FAT16 USB format.
I love JVC's knob push to pause. I regret buying other brands for that one feature alone. USB flash drives must be formatted to FAT16 to work. Im using a 256gb 3.1 gen2 sandisk drive with 2000 files and it works fine. Wish it supported FAT32, NTFS, ExFAT file systems and M4A, and TONS of other audio formats... But all radios are like that..

I thought JVC was better than that...
My radio kept jumping the time around randomly and sometimes turned itself on after a while. I contacted the seller and got a replacement. Now the menu defaults are a bit different and it's doing the same thing. I'm debating to just punt it and get a different unit. I never could figure out how to make it display the time without having the radio on or muted (when it's muted, it hisses). (edit - bumped to 4 stars from 2) After some time on the phone tracking it down, it turns out the clock was trying to sync up with....something. I never could figure out what it was trying to sync with as I never even paired it with my phone, but whatever. I switched that off and the clock stays accurate now. I also dug around some more to get the clock to stay on while the radio was shut off. Overall, I'm happy with the unit now, but it did take some fiddling.

Five Stars
Great entry level head unit. JVC is a solid mid-sumer brand. decent output compared to most others.
