American Tourister BON AIR - Spinner L, Suitcase, 75 cm, 91L, Red (Magma Red)

Everything feels well made with this case, it's of a really good quality. Considering the price is more at the reasonable end of the market. The case seems to take a beating too, I took this on a 23 hour journey to Hawaii and back - with 3 connections. I know it would probably withstand another few trips some day. It's very spacious inside, the compartments are also made in a way that makes it really easy to store all your requirements. The only reason I deducted 1 star, was for the locking mechanism, because it's sometimes a bit fiddly to get the two zips aligned back in to the lock when closing and locking the case. There's a knack for it, which most will figure out, but sometimes in a hurry it can be a little annoying. It's very lightweight for how tough it feels, so the materials used must be perfect. When it's really full and packed - the wheels are the star of the show! I suffer from a medical condition that gives me weak arms and legs, I fatigue out faster than other people and become very tired. This makes 23 hours of travelling hard on it's own, but the case at least took some of that effort out. I felt confident the case was solid the whole way too. I did see some bumps and scratching at the end of the journey, but the case is going through 3 airports, so that's to be expected. This case shrugs all that stuff off. This was easy to move through every airport and the wheels glide smoothly with no noise, handle is really solid and easy to extend/stow too. :)

Needed a large suitcase for a seven day trip and of course old faithful in the loft turned out to be a 'medium'. Panicked last minute and got this delivered well within the week before departure. I normally like to look at the product before purchase especially because this wasn't cheap but I had little option because of the time restraints presented to me. On arrival I inspected the case and it seemed lightweight and flexible ie: not rigid. Within the case were several zip up pockets. The main compartments has straps and one was with a complete zip up cover. Easily stored seven days clothes, in fact brought too much. Once fully packed and zipped up seemed a robust item. Easy to pull along with casters and long extendable handle. Survived its first trip though a few scuff marks after being thrown around by baggage handlers and being on the conveyor belt when sorting. Fragile souvenirs inside were undamaged. Lock was easy to set....do write your combination down! Hope to have this for many years and may even buy another one for my wife. Okay, it is expensive but the old addage of you get what you pay for applies. So much easier then having a number of smaller bags whilst travelling. So far so good.

At first I was worried about the quality as I can see that the zipper is not as smooth to use like my other luggage (samsonite). But I thought to give it a try. The colour is better in person. It is quite spacious. I used this for a 5 days trip with no problem. Very lightweight. Only reason for the 4-star instead of 5 is because of the handle. It feels flimsy. Sometimes it doesn't lock properly and so it goes low on its own. It's not a deal breaker for me. Durability wise, I have only used it on one trip but I have walked all over with it and it is still in great condition. No complaints so far

I have already been using the suitcase quite a bit and it has performed quite well. I move on a weekly basis and there is a fair amount of walking between the station and the hotel not to speak about using public transport in between. The wheels look quite well considering the amount of going around they have already taken and also the main body looks okay. Overtime it's going to show more and more wear and tear but as of right now the suitcase is taking the process very well and like it is going to last for a good while. The capacity is also very good. They say it's a 1 week suitcase, my guess is that you can make it up to two weeks depending on the season. I managed to package a week and a half the first time without any issues and there were toiletries, hair dryer, an electric toothbrush along with walking boots inside in winter. So I'd say it's a generous 1 week capacity. I was able to see the capacity for the 2 weeks one and in my opinion it would have been more than 2 weeks. The hard case for the suitcase looks also very nice. The contents are not damaged inside and it protects them quite well. That said I have not used the suitcase on airports as the travelling I do is mostly by train, so I cannot say how it will deal with the kind of treatment suitcases get in there. As of now the exterior looks good and the contents inside have not been damaged. Overall very pleased with the product, it's performing very nicely and it's exactly what I was looking for.

Zip broke on the 2nd use rendering it completely useless. Supplier not interested as it is over 6 months old and would not engage with me, other than to basically tell me it wasn't their problem. Read their Trust Pilot reviews - the same thing has happened to many other people. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU BUY ELSEWHERE. These are poor quality cases with a history of breaking and no customer support. The case literally broke on the 2nd use - both just to Centre Parcs in the UK in our own car - so no throwing around at airports, etc. Clearly a manufacturing fault but seller will not have a reasonable conversation about it. Seller even refused to agree that 2 UK uses was "unreasonable". £40 a trip - ludicrous and clearly unreasonable! I have a £15 suitcase from Primark which is considerably better than this £80 one.

Fantastic suitcase - looks stylish, robust material, great interior and space, high quality handles and wheels. I contemplated buying a cheaper one but this is definitely worth paying a bit extra for. Only potential negative have seen from other reviews the case scratches / gets marks on it quite easily, have only used it a few times and noticed minor marks but my case is black so hardly noticeable - if you choose a lighter colour they may be more visible with repeated use. Some cases have scratch proof material (it can still get scratched of course but harder to mark) American Tourister should have used it on this but if you don't care about scratches or marks appearing on the outside then not a problem. This case is lightweight too and made of robust materials and should last you a long time i.e. years.

Relatively light and easy to manoeuvre the medium size has plenty of space and convenient side pockets. It looks well made and built to last.

We've had this for 2 years and it has done approx 10 flights and 2 years moving children in out of uni. Overall the wheels held up but the zip is the weak point and the teeth split at one of the corners. Unfortunately the warrantee is only 2 years. My hard shell Samsonites (no zip) have survived 15 years and still going.

Très bonne valise mais serrure TSA ne fonctionne pas (cassée dès la livraison). Compliqué sur le site Amazon de trouver comment faire intervenir la garantie mais une fois trouvé le bon contact, Amazon l'a remplacée. Très bon service après-vente.

The latch on the telescopic handle failed after the first trip with this suitcase. I tried everything to contact American Tourister to honour the 2 year warranty but contact is a web form or an email address and they don't ever respond. I'm disappointed because I was expecting a better product and better support from Tourister as an arm of Samsonite. I also contacted the local agent listed in Ireland but was never able to reach the number and they also don't respond to my email. My last port of call is this negative review. I'm also disappointed with Amazon as they closed off any contact form, as the retailer they should assist.

Had this now for almost 2 years. Its a great little carry-on! You can fit a surprising amount of clothes in here if you roll them. I bought this with sole purpose of fitting in small overhead bins in commuter planes like the Q-400. Does not fit the left hand side small compartments in first class of the Embraer E175's; but easily fits the right side of first class and all the rest of the compartments.
