This is a listing for one of our standard apple crates with a fitted lid. These are very versatile and can be used as coffee tables etc. whilst taking advantage of being able to use the storage space inside of the crate itself. Crate Lids: These are lovely, rustic lids that have been made on site using spare slats of wood taken from surplus stock of our used crates. They have been made to fit one of our standard sized apple crates. As this is bought in conjunction with one of our standard apple crates we will be able to ensure that the narrow support slats on the underside of the lid fit quite snugly to the crate and will, therefore, allow only little movement. Crates: Apple crates have many uses. They are perfect for storage around the house - they can be stacked for use as bookshelves or display cabinets or used as shoe storage etc. They look great with logs in or lined and made into planters for the garden. They can often be seen used in shop displays in farm shops, greengrocers etc. Several of our customers have also used them as 'floating' storage, secured to the wall - ideal for making the most of limited space. Delivery is by parcel courier for smaller quantities or pallet network for larger quantities and someone will need to be available to sign for the delivery.
