Dash Cam Front and Rear, 2.5K Front 1080P Rear WiFi App Control w/64GB Card

So far it works pretty good. I’ve only had to connect it to my phone once unlike my previous camera where it kept disconnecting from my phone and I have to go through the process of reconnecting it. The picture is very bright. It does a good job of amplifying the night all in all decent little camera.

Product is very good. Works well. Instruction manual is difficult to understand. Some instructions make no sense. Translator doesn’t understand how English is spoken or written

Nifty little screen. Easy installation. Connects easily to your cellphone. In case of an accident, video tells the truth.

We are very much impressed with the SSONTONG Dash Cam. It is compact, easy to install and program plus it records excellent quality images. We were in a minor fender bender and it clearly recorded the incident saving us thousands. Our first Dash Cam was acting up and SSONTONG immediately sent a replacement which arrived within 3-4 days. Outstanding Customer Service.

Camera was good only had it for 4 months until the camera suddenly stopped working and freezing up took the sd card out and it turned back on but has no functioning buttons and will not work messaged the tech support email they said it takes about 12 hours to receive a response it has been days and have not received any response back the camera also falls off the mount quite a bit overall it was a decent camera just didn’t last long

I purchased this dash cam in March 2025, I wanted to upgrade from the cheap one that I had been using since 2019 (which still works). I installed it the same day I received it, and it worked perfectly. My only initial complaint was the windshield mount was sub-par... it had no problem holding onto the glass, but the part where the camera connects to the mount was almost useless. If you looked at it the wrong way, The camera would slide out of the mount.. I finally got fed up with it constantly falling out and used a dab of glue to keep it in place. Fast forward to July 2026: after a year of use with no issues, the speaker started making a strange squeaking/cracking noise whenever the camera powered off. Two weeks later, the camera stopped working completely. I tried different power sources, cords, etc but I couldn't get it to work. It was a decent camera for the price, but Im dissatisfied with the fact that it only worked for a little over a year, especially when the cheap $30 one I got in 2019 lasted over 5 years and still works. Fortunately, I still have that camera, so I'm using it again until I buy a new one.

It has been 1 week since I have installed, and used the a16w 2.5k front and rear dash cam. I can honestly say that the dash cam for the price is an epic find. The installation was simple enough, and you can get an app to connect the camera to view the footage, and download what it is you need. It works good, too. The device powers on and off as your car is started, or turned off. The front camera quality is awesome, and records well. The back is better than a lot of cheaper priced dash cams, but not as clear as the front but it is good regardless. The audio is good as well from the playback I watched. The only thing I will say is the playback through the app is a bit choppy, but tolerable. I would also like to say that I wish it would connect to the wifi from home so that I can log into the app and see the cam if I needed to see if something was going on in my laneway or a break in or something. FOR PARKING/24HR MONITORING YOU NEED A HARDWIRE KIT. PURCHASED SEPARATELY AND NEED TO HARDWIRE. For this I wish it was different, I have the kit but need to have a licensed technician through my car dealership do it so it doesn't void any warranties. PLEASE ASK YOUR DEALER/WARRANTY FIRST!! Installation was simple enough, and you can hide the wiring in the trim of you car as well to give it a clean appearance. The camera itself is a good look, too. It is my first dash cam, so I don't have anything else to compare it to, however for my first one, I'm very happy with it. I give it a 10 out of 10. The customer service was fantastic, as well, and the company really shows they are wanting to bring customers good products, and are willing and wanting to help in any way they can. They want the feedback, and encourage it. I am truly excited to see what other devices this company brings out in the future, and if we will get an upgraded dash cam with touch screen and new features/upgraded current features. I'd say buy it.

I installed this dash cam a couple of weeks ago. I can honestly say that the dash cam for the price is fantastic and is a great addition to your driving experience, especially accident and accountability purposes. We recently hit -46 celcius outside and the dash cam still performed well. The installation was simple and when the weather warms up in the spring I’ll tackle hiding the main cable, which you only have to tuck in. The dash cam powers on automatically when you start your car. I only installed the front camera and the quality is great and records flawlessly. It performs very well in well lit and low light conditions. I haven’t bothered to set up date and time etc., again I will do that when the weather warms up LOL. Even without fiddling with the date settings etc. it still works right out the box,,, just plug and play. The camera itself looks great too, sleek and minimal profile. The customer service is great too, they are proactive and send you a quick start via email/Amazon to make sure you get up and running, that was a nice touch. I found they are willing and wanting to help in any way they can. THANKS Ssontong! I highly recommend

This is a pretty complete kit. Came with everything you need (almost). I have a car panel popping kit. So I can't comment on the included instalation tool. I also have no desire to use the wifi feature so I can't comment on that either. I installed a dashcam/reverse cam before in my van in 2020 so I knew the process. This is a different unit but the process was much the same. I put this one in the wife's SUV. It was a bit more challenging than the van install. That was do to the vehicles design more than the product. The vans unit has a rearveiw mirror touch screen. I find the vans unit very hard to navigate compared to this. This unit actually is way easier to move through even though it uses buttons. I also like the fact that the picture isn't warped and stretched out to fit the mirror like the van. But I do wish this screen was a tiny bit larger. But it is adequate. It took me about a day to get it set up. Running the lines is pretty straight forward. The job gets harder based on how badly you want to hide the wires and where you put your camera. I hid them well and put the camera on the rear hatch inside at the top of the window. I decided to run the rear camera line through the wire harness boot to get to the hatch to keep it as clean as possible. To do this I had to remove some interior panels and pop some headliner off to get to the factory wire passages. This made it much harder. But the final result was worth it. Luckily it was pretty straight forward to get to my reverse light as it's in the rear hatch too. It wasn't so with my van. So something to consider. I used a multimeter to identify the positive line to the reverse bulb. This is when I realized everything is not included. There is no wire tap to tap into the line. But I happened to have some on hand so all was good. After I got it installed I ran into a programimg issue. First.... I guess there is a battery in the unit? The instructions didn't make that quite clear to me. My unit didn't turn on out of the box. And the instructions state it needs to be plugged in to work. It also says you need a separate wire kit to run the camera when the cars off. That said the broken English instructions did keep referring to plugging the unit in as "charging". So I guess it was my bad in a way. But let's face it..... the instructions are confusing and just bad. I assumed it didn't have a onboard battery like my vans system does because of that. Turns out it does. So I suggest charging it before you install it in the car to make sure the battery gets a full charge before messing with it. Secondly once installed in the car after a short while the camera would just shut off while the car was under operation. The only way to get it on again was to either shut the car off and on again. Or to hit the power button. The trouble shooting section had me rebooting the unit with the provided tool and Formating the included sd card.... I was running around in circles trying to figure out the issue. Well it ended up being a setting. I think it was "power off" The default is set up to turn the thing off after a minute or something. I didn't realize this settings purpose was to actually turn off your dashcam after you turned on your car? Seems like the stupidest thing ever to add to a dashcam to be honest. I think a lot of issues here stem from that one default setting. I can see people assuming this thing is broken as there is nothing clear and concise in the instructions that covers the issue. In my mind this setting has no real world purpose that I can imagine for a dash cam. Why would you want it off in 1,3 or 5 minutes after starting your car? All this said this unit is about what I paid for my other unit in 2020. And I like this one better. It has a way better interface. It's way easier to scroll through videos. And I love the stop line on the backup cam mode guide lines. I think it will really help the wife out! One thing I do like more on my other unit on the van is that I can adjust the camera in the reverse mode so it looks straight down in reverse but in dash cam mode it's more looking out at the horizon. I'm thinking about buying another one of these for the car now. It is a great value if you can handle the bad instructions. I recommend it.

Had to return because the unit would not turn on and was missing parts! The manual has so many spelling errors, which made it impossible to follow the instructions. This is unfortunate because I was looking forward to using this item. Instead I went to Canadian tire and bought an orbit D131 dash cam. One wire, plug and use. Easy to use and very reliable

This is a nice little camera. Set up was easy for the front camera. Have not added the back camera yet. The little sticker things for the cord are not very sticky and fall off, but We can just run the cord differently. Works great. Clear picture. App is easy to use, just have to have the camera on to connect, so cannot do it remotely. The only drawback for me is that the wifi name and password stays on the camera screen while the camera is on. Any passenger can see it. So might not be a good idea for a taxi type service driver unless it could be covered. Otherwise, nice little cam that is easy to use and provides a nice picture.
