* Physical This telephone is a cheap replacement for the same type of device that began failing. But it, made by Panasonic, and this model lasted over 2 decades of use. This current device is lightweight and works well. The clarity of this device is a bit muffled, but ok. Using the easy settings, I set the handset volume to maximum and increased the ringtone volume as well. The price is the major selling point for its type of telephone. It can be held and walked around the house. It maintains its charge when connected to the base station, and the battery holds it when walking around. It's easy to set up. There are just two cables to connect. And you at first leave it to charge up and not use it for 16 hours. There are function buttons for call blocking. I use a free app on my account to do this. * update 11 July 2026 I received a telephone call from a person who knew my name, age and address. They tried to push me to give my card details to buy a spam call blocker "..for only £250". You can get an application for a pound to do this. Every couple of months, the telephone can block telephone calls. You just need to go into settings and turn off blocking.

Bought as a replacement and went for the cheaper handsets when in a sale. Not disappointed as they were easy to set up and worked well straight out of the box. They have good reception and lots of features which we didn’t really need. They seem well made and pretty robust. The noise levels are fine despite some reviews however the noise on returning the phone to the cradle is very low so you’re not sure sometimes that it’s seated correctly?

Reasonable price and easy set up

Replacement for one that broke. It is definitely quieter than my previous phone, but that's not a huge issue for me. The BT logo being on the screen display is a complete pain. But it works and I couldn't be bothered to return it.

Wanted a cheap phone to plug into my new full fibre router. The landline is free with it (calls are charged). I will only use it to receive the occasional call from an elderly friend or as a back up to my mobile. I purchased a used-like new phone so the price was very good. The box was damaged but inside everything was there and good as new. Plugged phone in, let batteries charge and it works perfectly. It's been a few years since I have had a landline. Feels good to have it as a back up.

Work as they should, not great for elderly people or people with minor/moderate hearing loss. They are quite quiet even after adjusting the volume to the max setting. Will be returning only for this reason.

The display is unclear. They are very light to hold, but don’t feel sturdy. The ring tone is very tinny and hard to hear. Hard to navigate the phone list, have to scroll through all before coming to the one you want. Have reinstated my Panasonic ones and returned these.
