OttLite B24553 24W Tube Replacement

I almost returned this as non-functional. But it was user error. I knew I had all 4 pins lined up, and I had pressed firmly in two different lamp heads. But when I placed the working bulb from lamp #2 into lamp #1, no light; figured it was the lamp. Tried to return existing working bulb into lamp #2, no light. Shook head, thought a minute then really shoved. LIGHT CAME ON. Tried it with new bulb, LIGHT CAME ON. So the bulb itself is great, but it required more ummph to install then I anticipated. I love that it's the EOM item.

My original light bulb was on its last leg and I knew that. It was not bright and it took a long time to even turn or. This replacement bulb certainly did the trick. It comes on right away and is BRIGHT! I didn't realize how bad my original light bulb was until I replaced it. I have thrilled with my purchase and now I have the extra light I had desired. Good buy!

I picked up an old Ottlite model GX7906 missing its bulb in a thrift store, I figured for a whole $6 (plus $20 for the bulb) I could take a chance on what looked like a good floor lamp. Since this is an outdated model none of the bulb listings listed it as a compatible model, but during my search I found the product manual. It specified Type C style number PL24-C as the bulb type so I risked it and ordered this. While it was a bit of a struggle to put in, it did go and it does work so I can verify that this is the right bulb for that model.

After reading reviews of many replacement bulbs I was concerned I would have difficulty installing one or getting the wrong one. This one fit my Ott floor lamp with magnifying glass PERFECTLY and was very easy to install!!! Great to have my light back again even though I thought the price was a little high.

Recently came into a floor standing OttLite that was being sold for $10 at an Estate Sale b/c the bulb was burined out. The lamp sells for over $80.00 new. So, a quick $21.00 investment into this bulb made the lamp like new again. Saving about $50.00 over buying a new lamp. If you've never owned an OttLite, they provide the artificial equivalent to natural daylight. Providing super bright & even lighting.

These tubes last a very long time, maybe a decade or more. I've been using these lamps for 25 years (three of them: 2 in living room, one in bedroom) and I've only had to replace the tube once on each. Amazing product. I had to research the lamps I own to make sure I found a tube that would substitute for the original. They are expensive but worth it.

The light bulb works find. We are still using the light bulb for over five years.

Ott lite itself is the best for crafts and arts, and have three but this was my favourite. This is not direct from ott light purchase and the following is the problem I cannot use it After trying some clones before that would not work thought could be because really need the ott bulb, so resorted to a bulb coming to 61.00 because love the lamp. Nothing, which means the lamp is done if five different ones did not work so cannot use the bulb. Requested a return the last week and auto reply said would hear within 48 hours. Nothing yet and has to be returned by end of month. Are these sellers for ott lights in this case not supporting sales as ott would?

Was exactly what I needed, fit perfectly and works well! Not bad for a bulb that lasted about 12-15 YEARS!
