There isnt much i can say that hasnt already been said by many reviewers here and on youtube so ill just say this: i love it. It has its flaws but im extremely happy to have it. It looks fantastic! Gigan is my favourite kaiju (other than godzilla) so this was a must have.

This is the ultimate posable Gigan Figure! The sculpt is perfect! The paint application is beautiful. The golden scales absolutely pop. Great range of motion for movie accurate or outlandish poses. If there is a drawback it is the wings or sails on his back. They are sculpted beautifully, but if something were to break it'll be the sails. The tail is segmented with ball and socket joints which may come apart but it is an easy fix and not unusual for some figures. A must have!

SHMA Gigan 1972 is a rare figure in the SHMA line that has been given a great amount of attention to details from but the sculpt, paint detailing, and engineering. Its scales well with other Showa figures and is a great addition to the line as it slowly fills out the showa era kaiju. All the joints on mine are good, and it looks as was advertised. The only true negative is its fins. They are extremely fragile and an inappropriate plastic to have been used for them, especially how the engineering and joints work to make them move and the joints that need to operate around them from the rest of the body. Having already known about the fins I was afraid that mine would come in broken, but since it was packed well, mine arrived pristine. With such an obvious oversight I cannot really give this a 5 star even though everything else was fantastic. This is a great product for fans of the series, anyone that likes Gigan or this specific design, however i would caution that this is a very fragile figure, more so than the rest of the line. Wait for a sale if you are undecided as there are more robust figures for the same price around.
