No instructions
I imagine it's really good, however I can't find instructions anywhere on how to set them up.

Manual unhelpful and shows another product. Not feeling very safely supported.
Be careful, the reviews for this product and another BearTOOLS item have been unhelpfully pooled meaning they are misleading. 'The manual' that comes with the 6 meter strap - QR code flagged on the pics here is a 4 page picture set that shows the product you didn't buy! How can Amazon be making that mistake on a safety product? How can Bear tools be doing this with their QR codes? Off to You Tube to figure out how to use a ratchet strap where what you need to feed in to it is unhelpfully thick ended. Very disappointed.

An incredibly simple way to make working at height safer
Firstly, this device alone will not make you safer, you need a fixing point such as an anchor bolt with D-ring. Once you have that point you loop the straps through the ladder uprights on either side and ratchet up the tension on the straps until the ladder is fixed at that angle and it will not move backwards on you so you can work at much more comfortable angles certain in the knowledge the ladder won't slip backwards under you. And if you have a modern ladder with a wide stabilizer bar at the base you have a very strong resistance to sideways movement. It's a revelation. Add a cows-tail safety strap and you can work two-handed at height and maintain 3 points of contact. Jobs I would previously have only undertaken with a MEWP I now happily do on a 3 x 3m extension ladder. You do need to make sure you get the right size strap. Too short and you cannot lean a long ladder against a wall at a comfortable angle, too long and you end up with meters and meters of strap lying on the ground. Bottom line, I won't go up a ladder without one of these now.
