Art Forms in Nature (Dover Pictorial Archive)

Excellent description of art forms, patterns and outlines in nature. Well illustrated, easy to follow and lots of examples to examine.

I'd give this ten stars if I could. It's a fabulous book, chock-a-block with exquisite drawings and a treasury of design ideas for anyone involved in any sort of artistic endeavour. I gasped when I opened it, and am still awestruck.

Wow !! I can sit and gaze in awe for hours, at these wonderful illustrations. What an artist ! What patience he must have had ! Inspiration for the nature-lover, artist, or those like me who like to simply gaze in wonder at the infinite diversity and beauty, of lifeforms.

Lovely book but note it is not in colour.

This is an incredible book revealing the talents of an important man everyone should know.

The drawings are fabulous, all are black and white, but the kindle version does not allow one to enlarge each plate so as to examine the details, therefore 3 stars

Really gorgeous prints that will provide wonderful inspiration for art projects or can be used as decor in the home. Would make a great, unusual gift for any artistically minded friends and family!

Classic source material which will never age. Holds children's attention and makes them revisit the images to look even more closely. Brilliant.

the item as such is beautiful, and so was one of the copies amazon sent. the other was not. it had been badly trimmed so that approximately one inch of the outer edge of every page was missing. these copies were replacements for two previous ones that had a cut through them on every page! i'd still like to get a good untrimmed copy to replace the bad one but i've already invoked the replacement mechanism once and i don't want to go through that hassle again.

El libro tiene 100 ilustraciones de diferentes especies, cada una del tamaño de una hoja entera, En la parte inferior vienen numeradas y con el nombre de la especie que varían entre plantas, animales de mar, aves, algas, etc. Todas con formas increíbles.Esperaba que estuvieran a color pero todas (a excepción de la portada) estén en blanco y negro. De cualquier forma lo recomiendo mucho.
