Camelbak Replacement Bite Valve Mouthpiece & Hydrolink Conversion Kit, Foliage Green

I lost the original mouthpiece for my pack after detaching it from the valve coupling to clean everything. Ordered this one to replace it. As others have mentioned, this mouthpiece is a newer style with a longer stem that will not fit into the old valve coupling. However, included with the mouthpiece is a new valve coupling which was easy enough to install. I wasn’t able to pull the old one out of the hose, so I cut off the 3/4” of hose that the old valve was holding on to. Inserted the new one, wrapped the end with a bit of electrical tape (which seems to be how the original one was installed) and replaced the fabric covering over the end of the hose. Works good as new.

My old mouth piece after a few years started to leak, so l bought this replacement works fine just like the old one.

Guess I was lucky! Valve works well. Slight restriction of water flow but hardly noticeable. On/off working well with no leaks. Solid product.

Due to the SARS-COV-2 I was looking at a way to protect my bite tip on my Teton Sports Oasis 1100 Hydration Pack from people coughing and dirt. I remembered the bite tips I had on my military issue CamelBaks and I wondered if Teton had one. They don't. So I bought these hoping this would fit in my hose. It did not, the hose was too streched out due to the Teton bite tip. So what I ended up doing is cutting off about an inch at the end of the hose, (the part that is flared out due to the Teton bite tip) and pushed the new Camelback Hydrolink conversion kit with HydroLock into the hose; it fit perfectly. I've gone out on many hikes since then and there are zero leaks. So with a little bit of modification this will work on the Teton Sports Oasis 1100 Hydration Pack.

The cap is not forest green, it's more ACU grey, but it attached super easily to my camelbak tube after I pulled out the old mouthpiece which got broken. It took maybe 30 seconds to replace, including opening the package. It even comes with instructions (which are not needed (except a lot of other people in the army probably buy this replacement piece so then again maybe dummy proof instructions are needed)). The replacement mouthpiece is more durable than the issued one, and you can even pop the new mouthpiece off without pulling it out of the tube so you have an open hose when you need to pour your camelbak into a drink pouch and get tired of trying to squeeze the stupid little end to get water to come out.
