Large Print Sudoku

This is my husband’s favorite brand and style. Wish they would come out with new editions

Things to know:The puzzles are big (large bold print and big boxes). The star rating is 1-3 stars. The stars are not as accurate as other books - so you may find some 2 stars are very challenging 3 stars and vice versa. If you are accustomed to 1-5 stars, then you will find the 1 star here is like a 2 star and a 3 star here is like a 4. So the range is narrower. So if you are a more experienced puzzler and want to keep it relatively challenging (meaning no absolute HARD ones and no crazy simple ones) this is a terrific book for you. I had some trouble with the spiral and could not fold it back on itself, but I just cut the piece off on each side of the spiral, leaving the front and back intact and it worked out fine. A nice bargain.

I love this book! The spiral binding and cardboard covers were great, especially since I like to do my puzzles in bed at the end of the day. The larger print is nice for older eyes but even better is the empty squares are large enough for figuring that can be easily read and the pages are of good quality that can be erased easily and cleanly without damaging the page. The one-star puzzles were fairly easy for me to solve being a rather new solver. The progression through the different levels allowed me to become more proficient with the harder levels...okay...I did fudge a titch in checking to see if I'd made the right choice in really difficult situations, BUT if it weren't I didn't put in the right one but when to other parts of the puzzle. I felt great satisfaction in having to fudge less and less as I worked my way through the book. I also liked being able to tear the pages out as I solved their puzzle. All of the book's good qualities coupled with Amazon's pricing makes it a perfect purchase.

I purchased this particular book for my mother who has macular degeneration and has great difficulty seeing. Sometimes bigger is not always better with her condition but darker print and the larger type in case do work in combination for her to manage to keep her mind active and sharp. this is the second time I have purchased this book along with the other three in the series. These seem to be the only ones that she can at least partially see. Thank you so much!

This is an oversized book with plenty room to write and easy to see.The binding is such that you cannot fold back the pages and sit with just one page open on your lap. The only way to really work on the even numbered pages is by sitting at a desk.I've been playing with these puzzles for a few years and generally enjoy them. When they get into the 3-5star range, I know I'm going to have to work extra hard to finish.These puzzles were the most difficult I have tried.Of the first four, I could only finish two - and those were the ONE STAR puzzles.I understand that is nothing more than my lack of ability, but this book really should come with a warning label.It is now in the donation box for one of our local charities.

This series of books is terrific. The print box is large; the puzzles last for a good long time in three different measures of challenging. The binding allows folding back when working, which is so endearing after the usual so-called perfect bindings. I haven't found anything better in years of Sudoku. I finish all the puzzles in the book, and just before I do, I order another. I still get the biggest kick out of the way the numbers work together--and with my intuition--to create the answers in all directions. I hope Blindbauer comes out with several more. They make super gifts as well!

This is a great book. I love the binder, it allows each puzzle to lay flat and not to have to constantly keep other pages out of the way. I also like the large print so I don't go blind trying to work the puzzles and it gives each cell more room for potential options. I believe you would love this item.

I'm not claiming to be in any way an expert at sudoku, so was pleased that this book contained easy, medium and hard puzzles. Usually I can complete easy puzzles very quickly and then go on to enjoy the challenge of the medium and harder ones - the latter not always successfully. With this book, however, I couldn't even complete the very first puzzle in the book without cheating! And glancing through some of the other puzzles, there is no way anyone should describe them as "easy"! I think it's time sudoku puzzles were standardised so that we know what level to expect when we buy a puzzle book. This was a complete waste of money and I cannot return or get a refund as it is obviously now "used". The book itself is as described with good quality large print puzzles on nice paper.

This is an approximately A4 size book, spiral bound and with very large print Sudoku grids. It is quite heavy so those with problems with their hands may want to rest it on something when completing the grids. I bought it because it is spiral bound and it should fold back on itself.The spine of the book (thin card) covers the spiral binding so that you have to cut the spine of the book to let it fold over around the spiral binding. NOT something I would want to do with most books I must admit but with something like this where you are going to throw it away when you have completed the puzzles I found it acceptable so that I could use the book how I wanted to.The book contains two hundred and twenty five puzzles of varying difficulty with the answers at the end of the book.

Present for my Mum who is 81 but struggles with reading small print plus she loves them to be spiral bound.
