I absolutely loved reading this book. It was such an incredible experience for me. The stories were so gripping that I couldn’t put it down once I started. Every chapter took me deeper into the wild, and it felt like I was right there, living in the jungle.One of the things I enjoyed the most was how raw and real the emotions were in the stories. The Panther's Lair really made me think. Imagine being in a position where you have to decide between saving people or protecting an innocent creature. It gave me a lot to reflect on – how hard it is to make the right choice when both sides seem equally important.And then there was The Tuskers of Jashpur. Oh my God, that story was intense! The chaos caused by the elephants and the forester trying to deal with corruption at the same time – it hit me hard. It showed how complicated life can get when systems fail and how people’s frustration can push them to act out in ways they never imagined.What really touched me was how every story had something different to offer – unique challenges, stunning settings, and strong messages. The book is a collection of short stories that portray some of the adventurous, thrilling events that happened in the life of a forester, Animesh while he was appointed in different parts of the jungle of Chattisgarh.The book has a total of 6 stories and each sets in different places of Chattisgarh. What I most like about the stories is that it not only shows the wildlife, but also focuses on the people living around them. How they both balance each other.There are also talks about corruption, poaching, how we're destroying the wildlife, how wildlife destroys the peaceful life of human life, so on.The book is really amazing, insightful and at the same time a thrilling enjoyable read, with a beautiful background.

There are six stories in the book, and in each one we follow author Animesh Goverdhan in a different area of the Chattisgarh forest, dealing with various issues relating to various creatures.In fine of the stories, "The Tuskers of Jashpur" highlights the challenges faced by communities living on the fringes of the forest as they clash with rogue elephant herds.
