How well does it hold tuning?

Sometimes this guitar sits for weeks without being played. When you pick it up it is still in tune. Make sure you use good strings. I suggest Elixer. This is a great guitar. Ive always liked Ibanez acoustics.

Is it a full size guitar

Yes. It is a full size guitar. It has a great sound and is a solid purchase.

This would be my first guitar, does it come in a case or some sort of protective bag?

It did not, just the cardboard package. I am just using at home and purchased a stand for it. I will look into a nice case if I actually get so good I need to take it somewhere;)
