Does anyone know what warranty you do get with this tool and who would cover it since it does not qualify for the life time warrany?

Any ridgid tool has a lifetime warranty just take it into a Home Depot and they will give you a new mid torque impact (R86012) right off the shelf

No. I just checked with Rigid CS. This is NOT an authorized reseller. Rigid does not warranty this item. You are limited to the sellers warranty only. Probably 30 days.

How long will this tool last with everyday use ?

These Rigid tools are very durable and last a long time, as long as they are not left out in the weather or abused. They have the best battery warranty of all major brands and the motors all have limited lifetime warranties.(As long as they are registered with Rigid) These are the Best tools in the business. They last all day and give higher torque capabilities for the impact tool, in my opinion. For longer work life during a long day of work- purchase the 4-9 mAh batteries. ** The small 2mAh batteries won’t take off all the lugs on a vehicle tire, those smaller batteries run out of juice more quickly. The larger 4-9 mAh work great for that task.

Why The drill in the picture is not octane. Its gen5 brushless?

The product is the same as the Gen5X brushless impact. It doesn't even say octane on it. The product number is the same but the octane box is different yet the same model number.
