Bright and compact
This is a great flashlight that I keep in my vehicle. I love how bright and compact it is. It's extremely well made and easy to use. The first click turns on low power, then with a second click brings on high power. Some people might not like that it turns on low power first. But you can turn on high power very quickly with a fast two button presses. The aluminum head can get hot but it's nice to warm up when it's cold out. The composit body doesn't get hot at all.

The best flashlight I own
Great run time on low. Great beam pattern for everything. Search a large barn or average size room. Appears to be the same Max vision beam used on the Surefire Tactician for about half the price when on sale. I love the high low click switch. No twisting like other Surefire lights or the 5 different modes like on the Chinese lights. It has a crenelated strike bezel with grooves to collect blood from your attacker. Decent ridges to hold onto. Plastic body that doesn't get cold in cold weather. Beam is perfect for just about every situation. No sudden cut offs or rings at the edges like most lights. Powerful enough to light up your yard 150 feet. On low (15 lumens) this light is bright enough for 2 people to walk side by side in total darkness. Battery life is 45 or 50 hrs on low. High is around 2 hrs with it tapering down to 45 lumens at the end. Still respectable. This is the one light out of hundreds that I keep in my car for emergencies. This and the 6 batteries I store in a Surefire waterproof storage container can provide light for MONTHS on low or 8 full hours in one night on high. This light works best with the Surefire slip on finger grip. Keeps it from rolling and falling out of your hands.

Don't like the Low/High switching
Like all Surefire lights, this is well made. Expensive, but well made. I absolutely love the MaxVision lens as it provides a very nice smooth and wide beam. At 800 lumens on High, it provides plenty of light within 50 yards. Great for self defense, camping, or everyday carry. What I don't like, for self defense use, is that it starts on Low beam, and then you have to click it again to get to the High beam. For many uses, starting on Low beam is probably better. But for my use as a light for self defense, this does not work for me.

It’s big for what is does but worth it.
It’s not big in comparison to a big flashlight like a Maglite 2d cell. Much smaller than that. But the output is very similar in overall brightness and flood pattern as a Olight M1T raider plus. They both are 123a only well technically you can use 16650 but 2 Surefire 123a will give you about 3100mah vs 2100 at best with 16650 from a reputable brand but Surefire rechargeable 123’s called SFLFP123 will be 900 mah as each is 450mah. So regular 123a give you best run times and don’t die without use. Which is a huge reason to use them.In my experience, Surefire is definitely among brands you trust and Olight is not. However among my Olights the Raider plus and i3t so their slim back button and battery changeable weapon lights are reliable. In my experience the proprietary battery proprietary charging options suck example Warriors, Batons, Javelots etc.So the Raider Plus and GX2 mv are great competitors. So if size and $20 ish is worth it you. The MV is a good flood beam light that will give you PID at 30-40 feet maximum. Exactly like the Raider Plus. Run time is similar and 1 huge plus about GX2 MV is it is Thyrm capable.Overall paired with a Edc2-dft the mv is fantastic.

Wonderful
This is a nice small flashlight it’s made in in the United States and it’s very bright. I need to use a flashlight in my occupation quite a lot, and so the extra expensive of the item was more than compensated for by its utility.

Shockingly bright flood light
This light was designed to illuminate a wide area. There is almost no discernible "Beam" but for its size, it's one of the most impressive lights I've ever used. It was not designed to light up an object 100 yards away, but in a house or a building, it's truly amazing. I regularly use a Streamlight Polytac and a Surefire G2X, but I now prefer this light for close quarters or wide area use. Pair it with a Surefire "Speed holster" and you have an awesome tool. If you want a light that will cast a beam across a dark field, buy a G2X or Polytac for half the price, as this is what they were designed for. A quick word of caution: The head of this light gets wicked hot when you run it for an extended period of time.I already know what you're thinking... "Can I bolt, tape, screw or otherwise mount this onto the barrel of my Del-Ton Echo??" Yes, you absolutely can. It's a 1" body and will work nicely with any appropriate light mount. The recoil from that sad little 62 grain bullet won't hurt this light. And, No, the tip of the light was not designed to collect DNA in the event you feel the need to hit someone in the forehead with it.I've attached a few pictures of the light in action. I purposely took them on the dark side of a house to demonstrate how bright the light is. There were no other exterior lights on and no other lights in the area, besides basic street lights. Also, you can see how the light fully illuminates the inside of a vehicle from about 15' away.

Great in the vehicle
I keep this in the glovebox of my vehicle as a "Just in case" light. Inside the vehicle the low output is at a good level and not enough to blind you.The Maxvision provides a nice wide "wall of light" and is good for short distances. This isn't a searchlight, but, is great for evenly lighting up an area fairly close in.The plastic body was a concern prior to purchase, but, now that it has survived -40 to + 110 degree temperatures my concerns were unfounded. Another plus is that the plastic does not get extremely hot when you have the light on for a few minutes - the metal head does though! This is another stellar product from Surefire and the pricepoint is at a more affordable level than many of their other lights. I highly recommend this product.
