Great element
Wonderful element for a homebrew boil kettle. The tri-clamp and twist lock plug make set up and cleaning a breeze.

Fantastic, works great on my e-brew kettle, included silicone gasket.

Takes 240 volt female plug.
This is a 120 volt element that takes a 240 volt twistlock plug. Was not expecting to need to get a 240 volt plug.

It works well for my low temp (105โฐ) application.
Works very well to keep a glycol tank warm (105โฐ). Would have been better if had the proper plug connector.

L6-30 Plug should be L5-30
I've had a lot of trouble locating the proper hookup for this element. It doesn't clearly state the type of plug it uses, FYI, it is L6-30. L6-30 is a standard locking plug for 240V, since this is 120V, it should be using a L5-30 type plug as that is the standard at that voltage. Would not recommend because of this.

Well made,,,,but
Product is well made and a great idea, HOWEVER. The plug type it matches with is L6-30 type. That is a 240 volt plug. Not such a great idea on a 120 volt heating element. Now if this had a L5-20 plug type it would be getting 5 stars. I really don't think its a great idea, to set up a situation, where twice the voltage can easily be jammed through the heater. Please redesign this so I can give it 5 stars.

Heated 4 gallons of water to a boil in less than 1 hr.

Not so great QC
Bolt holding the outlet portion was not cut short enough. This prevented the element/plug from seating correctly. I took Dremel to it and fixed the issue, but it would have been nice not to.
