Echo Show 8 (3rd Gen) Adjustable Stand with USB-C Charging Port | Charcoal

I am extremely happy with this echo show eight. I’m usually one to use a different kind of tablet, and I read on a Kindle,, but this I felt would work seamlessly with all my ring devices. It does! I also wanted some thing a little more than just a smart home hub. This fits the bill. It connects really well and the sound quality and color graphics are excellent. I have about five cameras and a ring doorbell that I can see all the same time. It’s an added bonus that you have the option to use the privacy feature on the camera that’s on this echo eight. I could turn it on if I’m out of town and want to keep an eye on my kitchen, or keep it closed for a reassurance of privacy. I keep the device in my kitchen so I can use it to pull up recipes or listen to audiobooks and music. The speaker has fantastic sound. I got this during the prime day so it was a very good value for the money, especially since I would say it is even when it’s not on sale. I also purchased the stand to go with it. I’m thinking of purchasing a larger one and then using this one in my bedroom because I love it so much. I was pleasantly surprised and I’m very happy with this echo device!

I really enjoy my Echo Show 8. The screen is bright and clear, the sound quality is surprisingly good for its size, and it’s super handy for checking the weather, playing music, and managing my smart home devices. I also use it for video calls and watching quick shows while cooking — the convenience is great. Alexa responds quickly and the setup was really easy. Overall, I’m very happy with it!

The standard is great!!

I work from home and have my office on the second floor of my townhome so I spend most of my days upstairs, but I wanted to be able to watch my programs when I'm in the kitchen. I did not want to purchase a second television and I was tired of carrying my laptop up and down the steps. This was a great idea for me. I also purchased the stand for it afterwards. Glad I did. I some times move from the kitchen table to the countertop when I'm washing dishes. Very easy to move and start up again, but that might also depend on your internet provide, but I really love this item.

I was expecting a device that operated more like a cell phone. This device has Amazon silk, which is effective but I found navigating from place to place a little clunky. And you really can't rely on Alexa to all things. You have to touch the screen to complete a command in some cases depending on where you are application wise. Anyway, the the point of all this is that the operating system felt clunky. Speakers are pretty good. For instance, when I watched the Elon's starship take off, the sound quality was pretty good with all of the crackling and bass of a starship launch. Flight 11 was great! Also, being able to plug in your phone on the optional stand is a plus.

Ich habe dieses Echo Showgerät in der Black Friday Woche erworben, zudem als wiederaufgearbeitetes Rücksendeexemplar. Fast in Rekordzeit erhielt ich ein origial verpacktes Gerät aus, von dem ich geschworen hätte, daß es noch niemand vor mir ausgepackt hat. So habe ich einen prima Deal für nur wenig mehr als den nominellen Preis machen könmnen und bin schon daher sehr zufrieden mit meiner Kaufentscheidung. Auch wenn mein altes Echo Dot 4 für meine Bedürfnisse ausreichend war, bietet das Echo Dot 8 3. Generation schon einiges mehr. Man bzw. ich bräuchte die Videofeatures nicht wirklich, aber Spaß machen sie doch und mit dem Umweg über den eingebauten BING Browser kann man sogar richtig im Internet surfen, auch wenn das nur mit Toucheingaben und ohne Tastatur schon weniger komfortabel ist. Nichtsdestoweniger funktioniert alles bestens, das Gerät ist sehr leicht zu installieren und hat eine extrem gute Audioqualität, die man besonders merkt, wenn man einmal Musikstücke abspielt. Man kann sogar sie Stimme von Alexa ändern bzw. eine männliche Stimme einstellen, aber ich habe dann doch wieder Alexa statt Alexander (??) eingestellt, weil man mit Alexa irgendwie besser schimpfen kann, wenn sie schon auf einfachste Fragen keine andere sinnvolle Antwort als "ich weiß nicht, wie ich Dir dabei helfen kann" gibt. Alexa ist halt nicht klüger als ihre Programmierer bzw. deren Speicherplatz, Einfallsreichtum oder Budget erlaubt, das war bei meinem Echo Dot 4 ja auch nicht anders. Wenn man einen günstigen Preis erwischen kann, ist der Echo Show 8 (ich habe mir auch den dazu passenden berstellbaren Ständer "geleistet") ein nettes Spielzeug, bei dem ich nur noch nicht herausgefunden haben, wie man es einstellen kann, wie man es stromsparend erreichen kann, daß der Bildschirm die Nacht über dunkel bleibt, wenn im Zimmer alles dunkel ist und auch die Kamera nichts erfassen kann. Alles in allem ein sehr empfehlenswertes Gerät.
