Great value
Like many wanting a Tom Brown, it's difficut to justify the cost. As I wasn't sure I would like the Tom Brown, purchasing a Tracker for $50 is helping me decide. As in, this one is better than I hoped and I'll probably get another of these before getting a genuine Tom Brown.Yes, the sheath is wet with leather oil on arrival as well as the blade, with a substantial amout of oil out of the box. I've been able to remove the excess oil. I believe the oil is indicative of stainless steel oiled for storage, mitigating rust risk.

GREAT KNIFE WITH EXCELLENT CRAFTSMANSHIP
When I received and examined this knife I was amazed. It is a larger sheath knife with excellent heft and feel in your hand. It is very well made and excellently crafted, both the knife and the sheath. The blade has a great shape. It is thick but the cutting edge is very sharp without any touch up. The handle material is solid, looks great and is well attached. It has a small hole at the end for attaching a lanyard if desired. The sheath is nice looking and has belt loops for either vertical or horizontal carry and it holds the knife securely. In my estimation, this is a great knife.

Pretty good
I had read reviews, watched videos, and figured I'd give it a shot. I have to say I am impressed. The reviews had mentioned some issues with the quarter round not being sharpened, but mine was. It is razor sharp, as is the rest of the blade. The draw knife section was a little crudely ground, but still very sharp. The thickness and size is perfect. The handle is good and of decent micarta. The sheath..... yeah... its for left hand carry and pretty thin to carry a knife of this size and weight. I turned it upside down with the sharp side up like a seax, and it is functional. I do not expect it to last all that long. But for now, it works. All in all, this is a very good deal. You get a lot of knife and potential for the money. I love the weight. I have the Tom Brown Tracker, and it is a beast, but super heavy and too thick to be very practical. This knife should perform in all tasks meant for a tracker. I may have to get another.

I was pleasantly surprised by this knife.
I'm used to the images of knives like these being a little untrustworthy, and the knives end up smaller that anticipated... This was the exact opposite. This knife is much larger than expected. It came VERY sharp, and feels like an excellent study knife. Definitely recommend.

You get what you pay for
Knife looks nice at first glance however; the blade curves to the right significantly when you look down the spine. If it was straight it would be a decent deal

Poor Quality Control
The knife I received today was not the quality knife I read in the reviews or watched on YouTube. The blade has a mild drift or warp to the left. I know this is a cheap knife and I question the country of origin, but I was hoping for better. It will function, but I suggest you spend a little more on a better quality knife.

Solid workhorse needs better sheath design
This knife made a great first impression thanks to a razor-sharp factory edge that only required a light touch-up. It cuts smoothly and feels solid. Unfortunately, the sawback is again non-functional, and the “straight edge” portion (intended for whittling or draw cuts) is overly rounded, though still sharp. The thick handle is comfortable but has an unfinished feel. Worst of all, the sheath is unsafe — the knife can slide halfway out with minimal effort.Pros: Sharp edge, decent D2 steel, comfortable handleCons: Non-functional sawback, poorly fitted sheath, uneven grind
