The UGREEN USB Hub 3.0 is a fantastic addition to my desk setup. With multiple ports, it makes connecting several devices a breeze, from external drives to peripherals like keyboards and mice. The build quality is excellent, with a sturdy design that feels premium. The data transfer speed is impressive, living up to the 3.0 standard. Files transfer quickly, and there’s no noticeable lag. I also appreciate the plug-and-play functionality, as it works seamlessly with my laptop and desktop without needing additional drivers. Its compact size is another plus, taking up minimal desk space while keeping everything organized. Whether for work or personal use, this hub is reliable, efficient, and well worth the price. One issue I did find was that there are issues with my wireless headphones that use a USB receiver. Not the fault of the UGREEN hub, as in my headphones manual it says that if using a USB hub, it needs to be powered. Overall I would recommend this as long as you are not using it for wireless headphones.

Uso questo hub ormai da mesi collegato al portatile di lavoro e alla PS5, principalmente per chiavette USB, hard disk esterni e tastiera. La funzione è semplice ma risolve un problema che può essere molto fastidioso: da una sola porta USB 3.0 ottengo 4 porte aggiuntive, tutte pienamente operative anche con più periferiche collegate in simultanea. La velocità di trasferimento è in linea con le specifiche: con un SSD esterno raggiungo senza problemi valori tipici della USB 3.0 (fino a 5 Gbps dichiarati), più che sufficienti per backup veloci e trasferimenti di file di grandi dimensioni. Il corpo è leggero e sottile, il cavo da 15 cm è comodo da tenere vicino al laptop senza creare ingombro sulla scrivania o quando si lavora in treno. L’indicatore luminoso discreto è utile per capire al volo se l’hub è correttamente alimentato. È davvero plug & play: su Windows e macOS è stato riconosciuto subito, senza driver o configurazioni, e funziona anche su console come PS5/PS4 e Xbox, purché si usino periferiche standard USB. Dal punto di vista pratico, va tenuto presente che non è un hub pensato per ricarica: le porte servono per dati, non per alimentare tablet o smartphone ad alta potenza. Con più hard disk autoalimentati collegati insieme può capitare che serva un hub alimentato esternamente, quindi se si prevede un uso molto “pesante” meglio valutare questo aspetto. Non c’è uscita video (niente HDMI), quindi non è un sostituto dei dock multiporta: è solo un espansore USB, e in quest’ottica fa esattamente quello che descrive il produttore in modo stabile e senza sorprese. In sintesi, lo consiglio se ti serve una soluzione semplice, portatile e affidabile per aggiungere porte USB 3.0 a laptop, desktop o console, senza complicazioni e con una buona protezione da sovracorrente e surriscaldamento.
