I bought this in addition to the steam mop and love using it on the carpet. Unfortunately when I vacuum, not all of the hair gets picked up. When I go over the carpet and steam, it all balls up and is an easy clean up! The carpet feels fluffier after I use this with the steam mop.

I did not like it. I thought since I was taking off the cloth once I put on the glider it would extract the water off the carpet but it just sprayed clean water to the carper

Quick simple low cost way to convert your existing steam mop in to a light duty carpet cleaner. There is nothing that snaps on your just drop your steam mop head into the tray and push down on the mop head to freshen up your carpets or rugs. It's not going to do a deep clean like you would get with a carpet steamer. Keep your expectations a little lower and you won't be disappointed. For 10 bucks I can't complain.

Not recommended on all rugs
I bought this attachment with the idea of freshening up a couple of rugs I have. Most of my floors are hardwood and ceramic tile and the steam cleaner works well, however I found this attachment to be a waste of time. My rugs are wool and have a very short, tight pile and all this attachment achieves is to enable the cleaner to glide across the top of the rug without any contact being made . So its unable to steam clean my rugs. I removed the attachment and was able to clean them without it. This may work well on rugs with a longer, looser pile (hello shag!) but I cannot recommend it if you have rugs like mine. Save your money.

This totally worked on some dirt spots on my carpet. I love the steam mop and this is the easiest attachment ever - you just set the mop head inside the glider. which makes the steam mop so much more useful.

Great attachment
Freshens up my carpets. I even put a few drops of essential oils on the cleaning pads to make my place smell nice. Really helps bring high traffic areas on your carpet back to life.
