Loved it
I loved this book. A very good story. It was so good. It certainly kept me gripped right to the end. I was a bit sad with the ending. Wasn’t expecting it.

short, fast & easy read
I didn’t realise this book was YA when I started reading and a few chapters in I was thinking this seems to be written in quite a YA way, so I went to check and low and behold it was YA. It was bothering me but when I realised I took that into account when reading the rest. I had thought this is predictable up until it wasn’t. The twist I didn’t see coming at all I was so focused on what I thought was going to be the outcome that I was really shocked by it. Sloane was the most annoying man in the history of annoying men, JUST LISTEN TO THEM PLEASE!! The ending annoyed me but in a the twist was good kind of way, made it hit more! Overall I enjoyed this book, the plot was fast and the twist at the end made it for me. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a short, fast easy read

Fast paced thriller
3.5🌟 I binged this in one sitting. I really enjoyed it. It’s fast paced - just how I enjoy a good psychological thriller to be. Being a lover of true crime. Albeit this story is fictional. Reading about Police Officers like Mr. FcukNut Roane, p!ss me right off. They’re so blindsided by what they think happened/who they think ‘did it’ they actually harm the case more than helping solve it. Was the twist somewhat predictable- yes Was I still shocked when it happened - yes 🤣 I shook my pillow & had a mini scream. But those few moments earlier when Officer Boone was adamant with who Mary was - I was mad at him. Pay better attention my man. Look at the photo again. You’re wrong 😑🤣 Our FMC is a badass. I enjoyed how she was portrayed & we got to know her as she got to know herself. And she did everything that what was necessary. My negative was this - how did a fit, healthy, sporty teenage girl in the peak of her life get chased down & caught by much much older man, who she had smacked in the head with a rock. Ground my gears that did. I know she needed to be captured but there had to be an another way surely. Anyway! Fave part was Max with this epic line that cracked me up. Max leans over from the driver’s seat. “Get in, losers, we’re going sleuthing.”🤣

A fantastic thriller
Ooo I loved this! Fast paced and I did not expect that ending... I was shook!! I love when a book pulls you in and you have to keep going because the plot and characters are really interesting. I thought this was a really well written thriller and the characters were engaging and I wanted to know what was happening. There could have been a bit more depth to Drews character as I found him a little meh but overall I loved this and really recommend it!

Brilliant, read it in one day!
Brilliant! I was hooked from the first page, I read it in one day. The twist at the end had me shouting 'what?!'. Brilliant writing, relatable characters, a believable storyline and enough suspense to keep you turning the pages to find out what happened next. I'd never heard of this author, but I've already started reading another of her books. Can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

Decent read
I love a book written from different characters perspectives. Did suss out the plot reasonably early on, but it didn't really impact how much I enjoyed it.

Really tense book with a shocking twist
When Drew's girlfriend, Lola, goes missing after an argument with him one night,he's the main suspect, and after five weeks people are being desperate and blaming him. Meanwhile,a girl matching Lola's description is discovered walking the country roads with amnesia and covered in blood. Drew and his friends, desperate to find Lola and prove his innocence head to the location after doing some sleuthing to hopefully find Lola before the man claiming to be the girl's father loses his temper one time too many. I really like the sharp, well written prose and the characters were nicely developed. There was lots of teen angst and drama and it was thrilling to read the three teen friends rushing to save Drew's girlfriend from a serial killer, who is quite menacing. There's an amazing shock I the second half off the book which I found really upsetting, especially for one of the characters. It was a great twist though and I didn't see it coming. A really well written book with great characters and great plot twists while keeping the plot really tense. Highly recommended especially to older teenagers and fans of thrillers in the YA department.

That's not my name is good!
Just finished "that's not my name" by Megan Lally. Here's what I thought of this book. First off all, it was hyped up on a Facebook group where people said this was an absolute 5 star read, after reading I get why they said it, but it's not a 5 star for me. That's not my name all but suggest what the book is about now doesn't it. We have a teen girl named Lola missing, we have a girl that can't remember a thing, found, and a boy named Drew who has been pointed out as a suspect in the disappearance of Lola. A girl in a ditch wakes up but doesn't remember how she got there, and why does everything hurt so much? She has to move, a feeling of dread has her somewhat alert. After walking for a bit, a police cruiser passes and stops. At the police station she can't tell much, she just doesn't know. She doesn't even remember her name. That's when they hear a knock on the door.. "thank god! You found her! You found my Mary" The man, named Wayne claims he is the father of this girl, Mary? So.. That's her name? The police has been right to be hesitant, but after showing her birth certificate and documents he places her in his care. But, was that the right choice? Is Mary really, Mary? Lola has been missing for 5 weeks now, there is no sign of her, it's like she vanished into thin air. Drew, her boyfriend has been the main suspect and the sheriff is closing in. Drew on the other hand, has been spending all his money on printing fliers, missing person fliers. He's the only one that doesn't give up. She has to be somewhere, right? After a bit of investigating with Max and Autumn they have a lead, only no one seems to listen. So they chose to check it out themselves. What will they find? That's for you to find out. 4 star read! The end had my heart in pieces.

4.5 Stars !
If you’re reading this book as an adult and you’re worried about the YA rating, don’t let that scare you away! I read this book in one sitting (it’s currently 3am lol) and maybe it’s just because it’s dark out but I definitely found myself feeling creeped out at some parts! Don’t get me wrong, the main characters are definitely the usual recipe of a typical YA teenager, but it didn’t take away from the tension and urgency in the storyline. -0.5 for the predictability because yeah, I saw the ending from a mile away, BUT I did find myself rooting for the main characters and my heart still hurt when the story came to an end. Perhaps if I wasn’t an avid reader or an adult, maybe the ending would be less predictable? I’m also a little bit sad with how it ended because I was rooting for them so hard! If you’re looking for a fast paced read with emotion and heart-racing content, I recommend!

A twisty thriller
At first it felt like another "typical" thriller, but it quickly led me through many twists and unpredictable turns. Once I got going, I couldn't put it down.
