Works well
Great little thermal so far. Sometimes the heat signatures are a little off the device putting off the heat from a distance but nothing crazy that effects it’s usefulness

Works great, easy to use!
Easy to set up, easy to use. Informative! Great for the engine room on my boat, for periodic engine checks.

Solid thermal camera tool.
Use it for home inspections, it took me awhile to get the calibration right, and the connection is a little laggy sometimes, which is why I took a star off. I would buy it again. Great watch to find leaks behind a wall, when running hot water.

Great product…but… (updated review)
The battery life is amazing compared to the Flir One. The Flir One is not compatible with the iPhone 15 and I need to upgrade phones soon. So, I’m forced to try the Edge. The device connects to the phone with the use of a Wi-Fi connection, which will fail and need to be reconnected at least 6-10 times in every home assessment I do. A traditional thermal eval will take me 10-15 mins and with the Edge, my time has over doubled. The Edge also lags very often and causes me to stand around staring at the phone waiting for the camera to catch up. I have been using the Flir One for over 5 years and I’ve never had any of these issues. I will likely be returning this and sticking with the phone that I have until the product connectivity and lag issues have been resolved. I may try to exchange the Edge and see if this happens the same with a different unit. Update: After using this for approximately 2 months, this product is completely deficient. On any given assessment of a house, I'm averaging 1 disconnect or non-connect per 60-90 seconds of use. I can't imagine a product that has such a significant failure rate and was still sent to market for consumer use. Additionally frustrating is the fact that Flir has chosen to force anyone upgrading to an iPhone 15 that has a USB C instead of the lightning charging port to have to convert to this product instead of simply updating the software for the existing USB C Flir ONE that already has the hardware design. I've used the Flir ONE with the lightning connection for over 5 years with no issues. Forcing us to utilize a subpar and unreliable Wifi connection between the Edge and the phone is lazy and shows a lack of care for the end user. In summary, I'll be either forced to stay with the iPhone 13 or find an alternate thermal camera to use as this one is very frustrating to use in the field.

Just Awesome
Works as advertised. I used it to confirm if I'd fixed a bad switch going to the house battery bank on my boat. The prior switch burnt up and nearly started a bad fire! The FLIR easily displayed the 4/0 charging wires along with temp. I never got above 90 degrees, even when running 250 amps. I plan to use this during regular checks during long cruises going forward. A great safety tool!!! (see photos)

Connectivity is iffy and annoying
It’s a good product when it works. But as others have said the lagginess gets old. But less than a week into use, it refused to reconnect to my phone even after uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I think I prefer the more expensive but Independent gun that doesn’t require my phone and bluetooth

This is a great product! Much better than the previous plug-in version that was compatible only with Android or iOS but not both. Battery life is much longer & it has wireless technology.

FLIR has been the greatest of all time supplier of quality infrared devices (IR) for industrial applications. My career involved oftentimes maintaining these and similar vendor devices. I am extremely impressed at the intelligence offered by this instrument fitted to one's mobile device. Worth every cent and a very good price at that. Congratulations FLIR!
