Lunderg Alternating Air Pressure Mattress Pad with Static Mode & Flocking

I love it! I originally thought I would be able to feel the movement of the cells, but I don’t and all I know is, I wake up in the morning feeling so comfy and relaxed. I am a mostly bed bound paraplegic and recently spent a lot of $$$ trying to find the right mattress, but the one I got wasn’t exactly what I wanted. After a night or two sleeping on my new air pressure mattress pad, I am convinced this is the answer. I am VERY happy with this and I hope it lasts for a really long time. You can’t even hear the motor and that’s a big plus. I have the setting on “soft” and I gotta say, it’s like sleeping on a cloud. The support for my whole body is beyond fantastic. It fits my twin XL adjustable bed easily and stays comfortable and in place in all the various bed positions. It was a super easy thing to place on the bed and hook everything together. Took mere minutes and it was ready to use. I DEFINITELY recommend this great product. Thank you! (Edit: 03/07/26) Well, no wonder I couldn’t feel it moving… it wasn’t! After reading a few of these reviews and seeing where one person said it felt like a wave motion. I took a good look at the picture of the settings on the motor and realized that my static button has been on the whole week that I’ve been using this thing. It hasn’t been moving at all, and yet I have not experienced any new pressure sources and the ones I had are still gone. I now have my alternating mattress pad set with the static button OFF, which creates the movement. So this mattress actually works and creates comfort and pressure sore relief whether the static button is set on or off. At least it did for me.

This is definitely worth the money, we have had about 1 month. Finally my dad’s wound is healing. The noise level is very quiet. The quality is great. Very easy to set up, the firmness is not to soft not to hard . You will not be disappointed.

It may work for many; it did not work for us. The product was well packaged and relatively easy to set up - attaching hoses was a chore, cooking oil or a touch of Vaseline helped. Noise level was non-existent. The fit (on a 33-inch mattress) was perfect. Quality seemed good and communication with the manufacturer exceptional! Ask a question and less than 24 hours later, as promised, and answer - from a real person, not AI and it clearly addressed the issue with an appropriate answer. I would try any product this manufacturer offered. Our only issue was comfort. After 4 nights, using settings from firm to soft, static on and off the patient was unable to remain comfortable. Based upon other reviews it is clear that others did not have the same experience. We are returning this item and, in this (as I have previously experience), Amazon has done an exemplary job. Thank you all, I regret this did not work out.

This air mattress was perfect for my tetraplegic husband after back surgery as he was essentially stuck in bed for about 4 weeks. It works much better than a more popular medical brand one that we had tried in the past. He is 230 lbs, so it does flatten out somewhat under his butt if he is sitting up on it for an extended period of time, but it still works good for sitting and great for laying/sleeping. He has been tetraplegic for 32 years and has always had good skin, so I don't know how it would be if someone had compromised skin, but I haven't seen any red marks at all on him after using this for a month now. Look at the measurements, because the inflatable part of the queen size is only 52 x 72 inches after inflating, which is smaller than a queen mattress. We normally use the medium setting with static off to keep the air circulating.

Have back pain, and have been buying all kinds of products for years. This is another failed product for me. It feels like sleeping on balls. Even at the softest setting, the bladders are too firm. I placed the pad underneath a 2" memory foam and a 1" quilted pad, no luck. I finally placed it under a 3 inch orthopedic foam topper, and the 2 inch and the 1 inch. Still, lower back pain even worse. It causes a hammock effect, with my weight concentrated under the lower back, no matter how i adjusted the lumbar support, or the firmness. Also, when i get up to use the restroom the pad inflates all the way up, then deflates to an odd pattern of support, it bunches up under the back on its own fir sime reason. Also the 5 minute alternating support contributes to soreness, bigtime. As the back support drops out, unevenly then reinflates under the legs and head, it becomes very painful. This seemed like a good idea, but it only made things worse. Better off with just a soft mattress and orthopedic foam, not memory foam. 2 stars for quietness and the quick release plug. Needs a lower setting and adjustable intervals. Update 5/29/26 The company offered a full refund based on my review, despite the fact I didnt request one. I appreciate this. Hopefully the designers in product development takes my review seriously and makes it better for the client or patient who needs pain relief. It has been difficult the past few years, searching for mattresses and frames and toppers to alleviate our back pain at night. And the search for solutions continues. Thank you to customer service at Lunderg. They didnt argue, they just apologized and offered a refund, and that's what a good company does. Best of luck.

I love it! I recommend it, my mom is bed bound and I was stressing every two hours changing her position in order to avoid ulcers…with this mattress I don’t need to worry about the strict 2 hour rule..her skin looks healthy and she sleeps very well. The padding is comfortable and the quality is pretty good! I got it on sale so I got a good value for my money , she seems to enjoy sleeping on it and experiences no pain .

Great quality product, but critical information missing – buyers beware! Both the pump and the bed are of great quality—no complaints about the build or performance. However, the listing failed to mention a critical detail: the pump runs on 110V 60Hz, which is incompatible with the power supply in the UAE and India. Because this information was not disclosed, I plugged it in and the pump burned out within minutes. Unfortunately, this was only discovered after reading the fine print on the back of the pump after it was already damaged. While I accept some responsibility, this kind of oversight from the seller is unacceptable. If you are purchasing this for use in the UAE or India, you must buy a voltage converter separately. This is a serious miss, and in my opinion, products like this should not be sold in these regions without proper warnings. Great product—but the listing needs to be transparent to avoid costly mistakes.
