Brilliant

What a loss to music, Janis was cruelly mocked for her looks, which shows how shallow her detractors were. Her voice and stagecraft elevated her to heights unmatched since her demise until today and until eternity. She has no equal because she sang with true raw emotion and truly was a beautiful person. It is my desire to have her full catalogue of music in my collection. Absolutely talented totally dedicated to the music she still rocks and I wished I could have had a drink with her and the Holding Company.

Bought this after hearing a sample of Piece of my Heart used to advertise some perfume/cologne/scent became an ear-worm and decided that I needed some Janis in my collection - & this is excellent.It's only the general sound & production qualities typical of re-masters from the 60s - which when listened to on a system like mine lose something when compared to recordings made in the last 3 decades or so - that keeps it from getting the full five stars.

Great cd

It is Janis Joplin with that distinctive voice that sings the blues and lays her emotions on the line from her turbulent life. Brilliant!

I bought this cd for a friend and she loves it! My friend is a fan of Janis Joplin's music.
