This version of Ticket to Ride resembles the full version of the game - more so than the other smaller versions that are meant for quick play. In this game, you are given subway and train cards to complete your destination tickets. There are a good number of destination cards from which to choose. Game play lasts about 20 minutes, depending on how you route your destinations (using trains or subway cars). This mini version is the most enjoyable, in my opinion. If you love playing the full version but are in a crunch for time, this game is for you!

If you like Ticket to Ride but don't have a half hour or more to play a game, check out one of the city games, like Berlin (there are about a half dozen of these city maps). It only takes minutes to learn and minutes to play. It comes in a small box and would be easy to pack on a road trip. Also, this is a standalone game, not an extension pack.

This is a great shortened version of the original game and you can play it in a much shorter time frame. Very happy with the purchase.

Great for gift giving. Fun to play.

I love all the other games I have in the Ticket to Ride series, and I own 10 of them. This is the only “city game” I have, however. The short play time doesn't work for me, because too much of what makes the games great is sacrificed. The board is dinky. There aren't’ enough tickets or routes, and players get in each other’s way immediately. I hate the tiny, nearly impossible to shuffle cards. Didn't the game maker learn when they had to remedy the original game’s major shortcoming with it y cards by issuing full-sized cards with the 1910 expansion set? I’m not buying that this board game is “travel-sized.” it’s not suitable to play on the road. It’s more aggravating than fun. I won’t be giving the other “10-20 minute” city games a chance.

We love this series so just had to get another location.

This is a nice, quick version of Ticket to Ride. However, the names of the locations on the map are quite unique and a bit difficult to pronounce or remember, which makes it a bit challenging. Some of the other Ticket to Ride Express games have much easier names.
