Don't be fooled by the low price, this planner is excellent quality and very well put together. I bought it to use as a throw away planner until I got a fancy one, but it turns out that this one is every bit as good as the fancier ones! It truly is perfect for the budget conscious bride. It's very convenient, a great size, and includes everything you need to do and consider in the planning process. It even points out the things that can easily be DIY if you're crafty, or done by a talented friend or family member to help keep you within your budget. It takes the stress out of the planning, and it keeps everything important together in one place. My only dislike is that this book is such excellent quality that I feel a little guilty writing in it.

This planner has been a lifesaver!! I did not grow up imagining my wedding day or knowing even remotely what I wanted it to look like, so purchasing this book was my cry for help. Budget-wise, I haven't followed the book's financial advise too closely, more loosely by just keeping my budget concerns in mind. Where this book is worth its weight in gold for me is the lists, the posed questions of what if's, and all the information pointing out planning items I would never have known to address. For example, in the chapter addressing picking vendors, the author provided a list of questions to ask each vendor and then provided advice for the possible answers each question might receive. This formula is repeated with every planning section and helped me feel a LOT more confident and secure with my decisions. Even if I didn't choose to ask a vendor every single question the author provides, I still felt confident knowing I was equipped to know if I was receiving good service from each vendor. Additionally, the author provides checklists for both one-year and six-month wedding planning timelines (my personally planning is only six months, so this was especially useful for me!). Within both timelines is a broken-out countdown list numbered by each month left until the wedding, including up to one week before the wedding itself. Again, such a lifesaver! Overall, I recommend this book for brides/grooms who need realistic, creative thinking to keep wedding spending in check or, like me, need a simple, straight-forward guide to navigate wedding norms.

This is a great book that walks you through a great many aspects of wedding planning, but I would say it's really only helpful for the beginning stages. This book is designed to help you figure out basic things like "How many bridesmaids do I need?" "Who should I invite and who should I leave out?" "How should I budget the wedding?" "What kind of dress do I want?" "What questions should I ask my vendors before I hire them?" Unfortunately, by the time I got this book, I had already figured out a majority of the things because I was a third of the way through planning the wedding. That said, this book would be really helpful for a bride who just got engaged and doesn't know how to get started. The best part of the book in my opinion is about the vendors. In general, it's a good book that suggests a lot of things that an overwhelmed bride might not have thought about.

Amazing tool if you are planning your own wedding. We bought this a year and a half before the big day and this helped us navigate what we liked, wanted, and needed. This helps on a timeline of when you should start projects, dress shopping and all the little things you could forget about. Highly highly reccomend!!!

Clarity: I use pinterest, saved photos on my laptop, saved pictures on my phone to remind me of what I want to do. My mind gets scattered, but this just let me choose all the options of what people do, including cultural wedding practices, and I was able to circle and cross out things that are important for me. I instantly became stress free and had a clear direction without getting scattered as I was before & I refuse to hire a wedding planner....I just got one with this product for $8.00 :D People who Don't Read: Do not get me wrong. I'm a behavior therapist, I was a counselor, and I'm a business guru...I know that there are many ways of learning Visually, Auditory, Reading/Writing, and Kinesthetically...I am an Auditory and Visual Learner (free 15 question Vark Test if you look it up), so I didn't think this was going to work for me, but I got it because so many ppl got it and it had a high rating. All I did was mark checks, circles, and x's . Perfect ;) haha. I'm a great saver, but I have a very classy style. This book worked amazingly. I don't need advice from anyone, just research online and this book has done wonders. I'll update this once I get married soon :) Thank you Seller, from Michael and his fiance ;)

Of the two books I got (this and The Knots book), this one was actually helpful for just starting out. I had a budget number in my head, but this gives real life examples in different cities with different styles so you can see if your budget makes sense. However, once I really got into the actual planning part, I never opened this again. There is a wedding Google spreadsheet that was a lifesaver. And I also used The Knots website. With those two, I didn’t really need the book again. Baseline - if you just got engaged and wondering where to start, I’d say this is helpful. If you’ve already started googling, not worth it.
