Gamechanger for recording amp sim pedals and preamps
This was a gamechanger for running amp sim pedals and preamps into an audio interface for playing or recording. For pedals like the Joyo American Sound and AC Tone, there's already a cab sim, but they're subtle enough that it doesn't sound weird going through the speaker model in the OX Stomp. For preamps, like my Tubesteader Lightkeeper, or running out of the effects send of my Quilter amps, it sounds amazing. I just set up six rigs with speakers and mics I like the sound of, some warmer, some brighter and sharper, to complement different guitars and pedals (I have guitars with humbuckers, filtertrons, gold foils, P90s, Fender single coils). If I want the guitar part to cut through the mix, I can turn down the room mics and adjust the mic levels, and to get a bigger, wider sound, crank the room mics back up or increase reverb length (through app). The reverb is fantastic in stereo! There are compressors and delays you can edit hidden in the app, but once I set those how I like, I don't use the app much. I haven't found a better way to get direct guitar sound, and even sold my Line 6 HX Stomp.

Great Cab Pedal!
Pairs perfect with my other UA amp pedals. Well worth the price.

Bluetooth Issues
After reading and watching many reviews, I decided to take a chance on this. I really wanted to love this pedal but I couldn’t get it to connect to Bluetooth (after initially connecting) as others have said in various reviews. I recently purchased the UAX Dream 65 & Lion pedals which are great (so far) and staying connected to Bluetooth (so far). I thought Ox Stomp would compliment them well but I never honestly had much of a chance to find out. I will say that all the features of Ox Stomp would have been a bit of overkill for me. The two pedals I mentioned (Dream & Lion) have more than enough tonal options to satisfy my needs in the studio, which is the only thing I’m using them for. They are both incredible (and inspiring) in that regard. I’m sure others might love the Ox Stomp (if they can get it to connect), it just wouldn’t for me. Good luck!

Two Notes Opus
I've had the Ox and now this, I'm sticking with my Two Notes Opus for more flexibility and IR muscle at this point, the only UA pedal I'm considering is the Enigmatic

App is necessary for operation and a complete failure
The app which you need to use this pedal is so lacking that it drags the whole product down. The UI is super hard to operate because it lacks precision. Sliders on a tiny phone screen? No way to directly enter numeric values. Spotty connectivity to the pedal. Just terrible design. Sent it back.

Incredible pedal but the app needs work
First of all, yes, the bluetooth connectivity problems (as of January 2024) are a legit issue but in my own experience, ONLY if you update the firmware on the pedal. I had one that arrived damaged and updated the firmware. Before I updated the firmware, the pedal connected flawlessly every single time without any issues. Once I updated, it was an absolute disaster. What worked for me on the unit having connection problems was to go to my iphone bluetooth settings where it lists the devices and "forget" the OX Stomp. After that the pedal would reconnect after confirming a pairing request but I had to do this literally EVERY time the phone screen locked or if I turned the pedal off. I can't imagine having to deal with that on stage during a performance. Once the replacement pedal arrived, I left it on the original firmware (Not sure which version) and, like the first pedal I had, it works perfectly! With that out of the way, the pedal itself is incredible. The sounds are by far the best of any IR loader or cab sim I've ever heard (CaptorX, CabM+, Waza TAE, Surh Reactive load/IR box) as well as better than the cab sim on my singer's Quad Cortex, my Helix and my Fractal FM3's Dyna-cab tech. I've tried at least 75 Ownhammer IR's and another couple dozen ML Soundlab IR's and while there are some of those that sound good, whatever UA are doing in their OX box/Stomp sounds RIGHT. YES you lose some options but what they DO give you sounds so good, you quickly forget about that endless treadmill of scrolling through IR's. It seriously just sounds RIGHT and the room mic I feel like plays a major role in that. It breathes a natural life into the sound that gives it a lot more depth than any IR and room reverb can achieve. I've tried this pedal with my FM3, the UA Lion (currently my gigging rig) the Helix and also with my real amps running into a load box then to the OX Stomp DI into my DAW. It's great with all of those. The reverb and delay in the unit are extremely good too. I don't use the compressor but I've heard it's great as well. For live use, this thing is shockingly flexible. I have it set in the switching mode where one switch toggles between 2 presets and the other toggles delay on/off. The way I have my presets configured is that I dialed in a sound I really liked and then saved a copy of that as a second preset but raised the output level a bit. This way, when I toggle between the two presets, the sound doesn't change and I get a slight decibel boost for solos. I also have a second pair of presets setup the same way but one mic is panned hard right and the second mic is a DI signal panned hard left. This lets me run the right output into the PA with the mic/cab sim and the left output going into a real guitar amp FX loop return and speaker cab or something like that. PROS: * Sounds and feels better than any IR * Great reverb and delay * Surprisingly flexible with signal routing for live use CONS: * Bluetooth connectivity issues if you update the firmware * No value on any sliders in the app. (no dB indicator on mic levels, no % on panning L/R values, no delay time, etc) * No Desktop software (other than the utility used to update firmware) That's kinda it. Fixing the bluetooth issue if you update the FW and fleshing out the app a bit better and giving us a desktop app would be the cherry on top but as it is, I can live with the shortcomings because nothing else I've plugged into sounds as good as this does.

Sounds good but the app/bluetooth sucks
This thing sounds really good. Cabinets and microphones make a big impact impact on your tone and this thing works well with my Carvin preamp. The problem is that this pedal is way more dependent on the app, which sucks, than I expected. Bluetooth worked for literally ten minutes and then I never got it back after that. I am beyond frustrated with it. I can live with the six "rigs" built into the pedal but I would really like to use more of the cabs. A couple of the built in rigs have effects (i.e. reverb) on them, which is not what I want. If this pedal cost $100 then I probably wouldn't care, but it cost way more than that and that is why I am so disappointed.

Great emulation devices
These pedals are not designed as pedalboard pedals but are amazing when used with a load box giving you hundreds of sounds. They replace the amps speaker. DO NOT use with a load box or you WILL destroy your amp.Used in the way they are designed for they are the best amp emulsion you can get.Great when used for connecting to your computer program l

Se comprar, vai se irritar!
A qualidade da construção é pedal é impecavel. A sonoridade é soberba!

Daumen hoch!

Bluetooth Won’t Connect
I have to keep resetting the Bluetooth connection on my Phone and I can’t control the pedal without the connection constantly breaking and resetting. It’s frustrating and annoying. For such an expensive piece of equipment this basic function should work flawlessly. Not impressed :-(
