Are these really D2 steel..there's a video on Youtube claiming he tested them and they aren't D2?

Hahaha, the one I bought in 2018 , and all my other Eafengrow knives from that time period, didn't have D2 steel.  They were all decently made knives, but were quite soft.  Not great at edge holding, but easy to sharpen like the old AUS 8 offerings.  However my recent Eafengrows are real D2, with steel characteristics similar to my Ganzo Knives.

Question 2

How thick is the blade? And is the blade true D2 steel?

In Photos #5-#6, you can see D2 stamped on the blade. The product description says it's D2 but the real question you should be asking is how reputable is Eafengrow, the company that makes this knife?  If it is D2, then when you use it, you will need to sharpen it about twice as many strokes as you would with basic stainless steel and it should hold its edge quite a bit longer. The difference in blades made from D2 is the quality of the heat treatment and the angle of the edge.

My advice is to do an Internet search. If Eafengrow is both legitimate and well-known, then you should be able to find favorable product reviews of their knives on websites of major sporting goods retailers, knife user forums and magazines devoted to outdoor sports, firearms and other weapons. The bottom line is this: if the blade is made from D2 and the handle is G10, then it's a great knife at a great price and you should get it. (I would but I have too many knives as it is).

Question 3

How much does it weigh? The shipping weight says 1.6 oz but that can't be right.

Don't know didn't weigh it, but it's a good cheap knife... The blade is good if it's not true D2, hard to sharpen.. I would guess if it's not real it's a damn good fake.. it is a really light knife tho..
