Product was used for preventative maintenance (i.e. replacing the hoses before they broke or cracked). Packaging was good, plenty of bubble wrap and arrived all in one package. The process of replacing the hoses is tedious so plan on at least a few hours of work and removing some of the surrounding engine parts. (There are plenty of YouTube videos to assistance & guiding). Would recommend this brand and would buy again (but hopefully I won't have to buy again until several years from now).

In the end, these parts fit my 2002 E46 perfect. At first however, I thought one of the hose ends was off by 180 degrees. I was pushing/pulling with so much force to get them lined up that I thought I was going to snap the parts. They’re not as flexible as they look. Finally after about 20-mins of messing around, the end of one of the hose fittings actually rotated. They’re so stiff that they look and feel like they’re formed from one pieces, but that’s not true. So if you need to, carefully try to rotate the hose ends, they’ll be stiff, but they’ll rotate. I would even spray WD-40 on them next time. I gave this product a 5-star because in the end my car is running great and the parts fit fine at an awesome price. However, If I could, I would give the engineers at BMW a zero star for the design and ease of replacement.

This wasn't the easiest job to be had, but after several attempts did fit into place. The major problem was everytime I moved the separator, the hose fittings poped off. Study the pattern of the quick connects, and won the battle. As with most parts on a BMW, plastic parts. But overall the quality was worth the cheaper price, if I had to do againt. I would go with rubber hose and clamps fir peace of mind, not a fan of quick connects.

Yes easy to install if and that's a big IF you take off your intake manifold. If you've done this a time or two you can manage to do it with out. I just like to go the extra mile and make my life easier. Also I replaced every O-ring and gasket on the right side of engine down to the oil filter housing gasket. If your spending money and time on it. Mine as well do it right the first time and spend like an extra 25 bucks for the extra seals and gaskets and not have to take it all apart again months later when the next leak or issue happens.

My son’s car is an e46 325xi and The 50’s Kid guy on YT has a 330 I think. So there were some differences but the video does a good job of explaining the process. Overall a medium difficulty job. I did it in January or February and it was pretty cold here in Michigan. Makes the fingers a little less flexy. I used a small butane torch to soften the plastic before bending and silicone spray to make the washers slip on with no trouble.

I installed this on my 2001 525i and everything matched up just like it should! Not exactly the easiest job. It is recommended that you pull the intake manifold but I was able to do it without doing so. It just made it a bit more difficult to run a couple of the hoses but I made it work. Overall, can't beat the price!

I bought this kit as I was replacing my starter in my e46 and it’s one of those “while you’re in there” jobs. Install was somewhat of a pain. Car started idling really roughly after getting everything back together. Didn’t think about it too much because it’s my second car. Fast forward a couple months and this rough idle is bothering the hell out of me. The car had quite a few other issues so I assumed it was one of those. After further investigation, this crappy line that came in this kit had cracked on both ends. I ended up replacing it with fuel line and the rough idle vanished. I should have known better than to get a random kit off Amazon. For what it’s worth, I hear more hissing under the hood which is no doubt another one of these garbage lines leaking.

I was worried about negative comments about the fitting of the product. I did not have any of these problems. All the pipes were the same length and everything snap fit together. Also there were no problems with o rings being too big. I hit them up With a little lube to make them come together. I did my assembly with the engine out of the car because it was a swap. This made things very easy and can see it would be more difficult when the engine is in the car. It might explain why some had size problems.
