PHIVE 7.8" Round Heavy Desk Lamp Base (Suitable for LK-1 CL-2 Architect Swing Arm LED Desk Lamp)

I needed a good portable base for a large lighted magnifying glass. It just came with a clamp-style base. This weighted base is a great alternative and will get a lot more use. I like that the receptacle hole is offset to allow the light in this case to be fully extended without tipping over. The hole diameter is the most common size for swing-arm style devices. So I could use it with several other lamps and such that I have.

Its a really good quality lamp stand .Better than some of the negative reviews .It came packed well and undamaged . Its also a good price for what you get . Tnis thing is very heavy also. I will update this review if it turns out bad but I am sure it won't .

The base on my previous task lamp split, spilling sand everywhere. No bueno dudes. I ordered this hoping it would work but figuring it probably wouldn't fit and I'd have to send it back because there isn't much information about the sizes/what would fit, etc. Anyway took the plunge and thank heck it fit, now I can use my lamp which is great cause my office has no windows haha so hooray now I can see

I had an architect lamp which clamped on to the desk; clamp repeatedly loosened,and lamp would, of course, flop onto desk. This base is heavy, sturdy, and the socket accommodated the .5" peg perfectly. Saved me from having to buy new lamp. It's also somewhat more convenient in that you can move the base around to reposition the lamp. Highly recommended unless you just don't have enough desk space and so need a clamp-on.

This product is so versatile and welcome for me because I needed a lamp in a cramp space and this relatively small footprint of a base is just the thing. Thank you so much great job.

My articulating lamp wouldn't stay clamped to the edge of my desk and this base totally solved the problem.

There is nothing that I dislike about this lamp. It fastens to the back of my desk securely and only needs about on square inch of desk space. Brightness control, color (Kelvin) control, and changing the lamp location are as easy as reaching up and moving it. This gave me a lot of desk space that my old lamp was wasting, it has far more utility in that I can direct the lamp wherever I want, and control of brightness and color is simple and intuitive. This goes into my smarter purchase category.

I have a 40+ year old architect's lamp that I wanted to move from an old drafting board to an upright piano. The clamp attachment wouldn't work for this new use and I didn't want to send a perfectly good lamp to the landfill. The new weighted base with felted bottom arrived promptly and in mint condition. Even though the lamp and base were from two different manufacturers, the spindle fit perfectly and I didn't even need to tighten the set screw. The matte black finish also matched the lamp perfectly. I can adjust the lamp to different positions with no danger of it tipping over and no worry of the piano's finish getting damaged.
